Chapter 45 - Labyrinth

The twisty-turny, maze-like construction stretched endlessly in front of us. It was a daunting sight, the stones towering above our heads, casting long ominous shadows that swallowed all light. The air turned colder as if the stones sucked away any warmth and life from it.

 "Remember, stick together," I commanded firmly, as I turned to face everyone.

 "We're only as strong as our weakest link."

 Apollo grunted in agreement and Thanatos merely shrugged, his dark eyes gleaming like twin coals in the gloomy light. Persephone gulped audibly, her knuckles turning white around her bow. Hypnos gave me a nod of approval, his lean frame hunched and shaking slightly.

With that, we ventured into the labyrinth - the Maze of Desolation - each step echoing ominously off the stone walls.
