"Oh..." Luna reluctantly looked at Isabella and jumped down from Elias's embrace, seeming a bit sulky.
Elias scanned the surroundings. The castle corridors were eerily quiet, and a quick exploration showed every room to be deserted.
A chilly draft swept through the corridor, causing the candle flames to flicker. The air grew denser with the scent of blood, making the castle feel devoid of life.
Elias looked at Isabella, who pondered for a moment, "They're likely underground. I remember... the elders prefer not to sleep in places too warm and bright."
Reaching the main hall on the first floor, their path ended without a visible entrance to the lower levels.
"How do we get downstairs?" Elias asked.
"That's easy." Isabella gave a slight smile. "I know this place like the back of my hand!"
