As Bishop Lawrence made his rounds, greeting everyone with a warm smile, the persistently bothersome Priestess Phelin naturally sought out Elias again.
The moment she appeared, Isabella watched her like a hawk, her eyes narrowed in hostility.
Elias too seemed annoyed. Phelin's words from the other day had troubled Isabella greatly, and he had little patience for this fanatic follower of the church.
"Mr. Elias..." Phelin approached with a complex expression.
"Don't tell me you're here to convince me to join the church again," Elias glanced at her, "You already know I'm a tainted being, don't you?"
"Of course, I'm aware, but..." Phelin's gaze was filled with turmoil. Never in her wildest dreams did she imagine a being like him could possess a divine affinity.
"There's no 'but.'" Elias said flatly, "If it's the same speech, then please leave."
"It's not that, there's another matter."
