Just as Elias was about to explain to Annie, Isabella walked over, clearly impatient.
"What's there to talk about? Why bother?"
She knew Elias's intentions; he wanted to spare her any embarrassment with her family by presenting himself as a vampire.
But to Isabella, it seemed unnecessary. If a visit home required such caution, to the extent that her partner had to disguise himself, she'd rather not go back at all.
