Alex eyes was soon gaped open in shock as he looks at the panel displaying his awakened talent.

The moment he saw the goblin he already planned on killing it.

So, wielding an iron sword Alex, rushed at the goblin and even though it only increases his agilty by 5, he already felt the speed increase coming from the boots. It's making him feel lighter.
When the goblin noticed him, it was already too late, as Alex was already preparing a powerful swing to cut its neck.
Because of goblins low intelligence, it didn't even tried to dodge the attack and instead screeched and face Alex head on.
Alex already anticipating this, slashes his sword through the neck of the goblin, decapitating it.

After putting the small dagger from the goblin in his inventory, Alex gripped his sword tightly and let out a sigh, mentally preparing himself, acknowledging that this won't be the last time he must take a life to ensure his survival.
The reason he was able to keep his calm today is because it's monsters that he fought. If it was another human being things would have been different.
And he knows that soon humans would also fight each other to obtain greater power.
