She turned her attention to the gown on her lap, and held it as she stood up while holding the dress to have a better look at the gown.
"Ah" She was astonished by what she saw, hence the low almost inaudible 'ah'. The gown was very beautiful, It was deep red in color almost like blood,
At the middle of the chest region there was a big red jewel, which she noticed was similar to the ones on the necklace.
To be sure, she held the necklace in one hand and compared the jewels on it to the one on the gown, it was the same.
She turned her attention to the gown and looked at it closely, she found that on the top, the bottom, and the end of the sleeves, were the black net structures she found on the necklace and on top of that were thin white laces, almost invisible.
The hands were those puffy style sleeves with a small ribbon tied at the middle of the sleeve, where the material after the ribbon just flared down.
The gown had a beautiful black design at the chest side and a corset inside it, the bottom of the gown was not anything over the top, or anything too big, the material was light and not made to be too puffy, she supposed it was done this way so that she would be able to move around properly.
The gown flared down from the waist area till it reached the ground, it seemed as though the lacking puffiness of the gown was made up for by the length of the gown.
Overall the gown was beautiful, astonishingly beautiful. She turned to place the gown on the bed and found that there seemed to be something else she missed from the box,
In the box was another much smaller package, she opened it and found that inside it was a small red mask, with a beautiful butterfly pattern on it and small tiny stones embedded in it.
She was truly shocked, Beth had gone all out to prepare all these for her, hence she must look her best.
She neatly hanged the dress by her window and placed the other items back inside the the box before putting the box under her bed.
She then laid on the bed thinking about what the castle would be like, and the people she would meet there, while also making it a mental note not to embarrass herself there, in front of so many important personalities.
She laid on the bed for a while longer before leaving the room to prepare dinner before her parents came back from the farms.
"Alora today is the Reeve Empire's Anniversary ball you must come back early to prepare for it." The night before Alora had shown her mother the package Beth had arranged for her, for the ball, and her mother was equally astonished, if not more astonished.
"I will mother, I will be back in a while I just need to check a few things at the library" Alora replied to her mother while hurrying out of the house.
She knew she had to look her best, to not disgrace the royal family and henceforth disgrace their village.
"You look very beautiful candy" Ethan said as he stepped into Alora's room, where their mother was busy packing Alora's hair, he had been informed of the ball earlier that day.
Alora was sitting in front of the mirror and their mother was standing behind her, arranging her hair. The gown fit her body perfectly, highlighting her cleavage, and making her waist appear very small.
The gown flared till it covered her legs, sweeping the floor slightly, and the necklace was a complete fit to the gown, and it made her wonder if the vampiress tailor called Mrs Harlot was also a jewelry maker.
Her mother had let down her natural fringe, which many didn't know was there and packed the rest of her curly honey brown hair into a messy bun.
"Thank you brother" Alora smiled and wanted to turn to look at her brother, as he saw her through the mirror, but as she turned her head, Ethan pushed her head back, towards the mirror, and he then tied a flower hairband on her hair.
Their mother smiled seeing this, and walked to stand in front of Alora "That completes the look my little princess" She said referring to the flower hair band.
"It does mother, and you look more like a candy, the color suits you beautifully" Ethan concurred looking at her through the mirror.
Just then her father knocked on the door and said "Alora are you done? The royal family is here"
"We are done in here honey she will soon be out!" Alora's mother answered without opening the door.
Alora stood up while holding onto the front part of the gown and began going outside, when her brother held her back and put the mask in her hands.
"You almost forgot this." Ethan smiled at her and hooked his arms around her before walking her out of the room, with their mother following right behind them.
"My princess you look very beautiful" Alora's father commented to have Beth who was on the small couch in the living room, turn to look towards the corridor where Alora's room was in, and her mouth hung open in surprise and shock.
Alora's purple eyes twinkled, and she smiled wildly as she heard her father's praise and saw the look of astonishment on Beth's face.
Beth's eyes grew even more when she saw Alora smile, if that was even possible.
She knew Alora was very beautiful, but she didn't expect such a jaw dropping beauty to be hidden in the girl who always wore shabby clothes and had a tight bun on her hair.
The color on her made her pale skin shine, and her beautiful big purple eyes twinkle. The gown hugged her upper body, and though her cleavage was not too big, the gown brought out the attractive shape of her cleavage.
