Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

The pain she felt till then on her body vanished into thin air when she saw her angel sleeping soundly on the bed. She walks near the bed without making any sound and laid on the bed by facing her angel.

A radiant smile flowered on Meera's lips when her daughter Keerthi hugged her in her sleep. Meera embraced her daughter and placed a soft kiss on her daughter's forehead and admired her daughter, who was sleeping with a slightly opened mouth cutely. Her daughter resembled just like her father except her curly hair which is inherited from her mother. While admiring her daughter, Meera slowly started to fall asleep.

Prakash walked out of the bathroom after a shower and glanced around the room where there was no sign of meera presence. Similarly, he wishes for her to disappear from his life without leaving any trace. Even though he wishes for it, he knows that it will never happen. The sign of her presence in his life will always be there in his life through his daughter keerthi. There is no doubt that Prakash loves his daughter. Likewise, there is no doubt that he hates his wife, meera.

Even though her trace will be left in his life through his daughter lifelong, he felt little peace when he thought that she would be out of his life after six months. He has to wait for just six months. After that, he can lead his life peacefully with his daughter.

After wearing a normal shirt and pants, Prakash took a cigarette pack and lighter from the nightstand and went to the balcony which is attached to his room. He leaned on the handrail on the balcony by placing his hands on it as he lightened the cigarette.

He felt something weighing in his heart when he saw the empty street, with the thought that his life is as empty as this empty street. Even after smoking one full cigarette, he didn't return back to room to sleep. He took the next one from the cigarette pack and put it in his mouth and lit it and began to seek relief in smoking. It has been many days since he slept peacefully in his life. Generally he has not experienced great happiness nor bliss in his life but he has been leading a somewhat peaceful life until Meera enters his life. Meera entered into his life and destroyed even that little peace completely and left only emptiness and sadness in his life. God has given him a daughter like he wished in his life but not through the woman he desired but through a woman he hated. He dreamed of marrying a girl who was perfect in every way. But, Meera is completely opposite to what he wished. He likes the girl who has long and silky hair, but Meera has short and curly hair. He likes the slim girl with perfect body structure, but Meera is an overweight girl with imperfect body structure. He likes a jovial and carefree type girl, but Meera is timid and doesn't talk much with others. There are so many things which he doesn't like in meera. He hates everything about her. She is just a fat ugly girl who is not suitable for him anyway.

He hate himself for touching her ugly fat body. Many times he had determined himself that not to touch in order to fulfill his physical needs. However, he couldn't control his needs for so long no matter how hard he try. At one point, he could give up his control and ask her to come to his room to fulfill his needs. He hate and disgust to do it with her, but as a man he too have a needs to fulfill. He is not man who would sleep around with anyone to fulfill his needs. Even though he loathe her, she is his wife legally. Therefore, he has every rights to use her for his needs. He does not feel that what he is doing is wrong, because he using her for his pleasure, just as she destroyed his life and used him for her happiness. He is just doing the same thing what she did to him for her happiness.

Next Day Morning:

As the sun poured its fresh ray into the kitchen and provided brightness and refreshment to Meera, who was immersed in cooking. She waked up a little late in the morning due to the tiredness of prakash's torture on her body till the dawn. She tried to speed up her cooking, fearing that Prakash would be angry if she was late to prepare breakfast.

As she was busily cooking, her gaze landed on the clock in the dining hall. Her brows snapped together when the clock indicated the time was 8 o'clock. She hurriedly left her work mid-way and walked towards her room to see that her angel had woken up from her sleep. However, before she could enter the room, Prakash came out of her room by holding the angel in his arms.

Keerthi looked at meera with a hint of sleepiness in her eyes and called out meera as she extend her hand towards meera in the way to indicate meera to carry her,

"Meera amma (mother)."

Prakash's explanation to Keerthi makes Meera pause her action, that of stretching out her hand to hold her daughter.

"Keerthi darling.. How many times have I told you not to call Meera as amma ?. Meera is not your mother. She is a just servant who is working here to take care of you. Call her aunty. Okay."

Meera's face paled after hearing his words. Once again he pierced her heart ruthlessly with his words. The cruelest thing in the world for Meera is his merciless words. His words have the power to tear apart her heart cruelly. His words are powerful enough to cause her endless pain and sadness. Meera looked at prakash with broken heart when her daughter asked him in a soft tone,

" Appa.. Then, who is my amma ?. And where is she now ?. "
