Selene POV
It was almost dawn when we left the clearing and started back to the road that led to Moon Whisper.
We both had to endure not going beyond a kiss and right now… I couldn't stop thinking about it. The way our lips had moved together as if it was meant to be… the way his hands had hovered around my body until I thought I would go mad with want.
I sighed, clearing the thoughts from my head, hoping Noah wouldn't be able to notice Kragen's scent on me. I stared out of the window; my mind was a whirlwind of thoughts. Everything, I had learned in the last few hours was just too much to digest. Jared's revelations, Kragen's confessions, deciding whether or not the moon goddess had lied to me, the sudden, unexpected kiss – it was all tangled together, leaving me feeling raw and overwhelmed.
