Selene POV
Jared's eyes widened first with surprise followed by amusement as he stared at me.
"Oh no!" he shook his head "That's not what I meant, Selene. Of course, you're a desirable woman with curves that can make any man go crazy… you know back when you were nearly mated to Xavier, we used to wonder where he had gone to pick up a prize like you … anyways, I don't like you sexually, I am talking about what you have inside of you?"
"What do I have inside of me?" I stared at him confused "The baby?"
He rolled his eyes frustration flickering in them "Of course not!" he sighed "That's not what I mean. I mean you as a person, Selene… the things embedded inside of you is what I'm talking about,".
My heart pounded in my chest as I stared at him. So, all of this heist was because of what was inside me. Did he know I was an elemental wolf?
