Selene POV
Alarm bells went off in my head when I saw Maeve and Vina in front of Nora. They looked dirty and their hair was a mess. I didn't know if these were my kids or a cloned version of them.
"I know you'll be surprised but you're too calm. I thought you'd be raining fire or brimstone seeing that the girls are with me. C'mon Selene… aren't you surprised? I deserve some credit for my cleverness, right?"
I pulled myself together, trying to fight the fear that had crept into my heart as I faced her. "I don't know where you got these clones that look like my children but you can't fool me because they're with their father and I know Xavier would not…".
"Mummy…" Vina sobbed "It's truly us. Some men came and took us away when daddy wasn't looking. It's not his fault,".
