Selene POV
I spent at least thirty minutes in my car in the driveway of the pack house, refusing all the help from the pack guards. I couldn't help but wonder when this cycle will end. I spent the better part of my life running away from everything and now, it seemed like they were all catching up with me.
If anything should happen to Noah… I shook my head trying to avoid the train of thought. Plus, it didn't help that my wolf Bea has been quiet lately. She was either not responding to me at all or would come with her usual one-liners and then stay silent for another few days.
Also, Kragen has been silent. He was used to showing up when I was in trouble… he once told me he could sense when I needed his help and I was counting on that now. If he came, he would be able to help me clear my head and settle more than half of my worries.
