Chapter 6 - Chapter 5: Sharing a manager

Lee Hotel

He exuded an air of cold authority and an aura of detachment clung unto him. His lush hair dyed black was tidied to perfection with a ripping quality. He had dark spell binding eyes, they bewitched those who fell under his gaze. His romanesque nose and angular cheekbones carved down towards a perfect jaw. His voice, demanded obedience and excellence from all who surrounded him, creating an unfathomable personality that inspired both fear and admiration. He was the perfect description of a handsome man. He was none other than the CEO of Lee group, the Boss of the entertainment industry in Country Z, President Jaxon Lee.

"The new restaurant has been upgraded. New side dishes has been added and there is improvement on the course meals. The number of..." Ralph Asher, Jaxon's assistant paused when his boss' phone rang.

Jaxon looked at the caller and saw it was his grandfather. He ignored the call and told Ralph to continue. The ringing did not stop and Jaxon had to pick up. He pressed the answer button.

"Hey, trying to ignore me?" Chairman Lee asked.

"I'm busy," the voice was cold and unemotional.

"I need to see you," Chairman Lee said.

"Later." Jaxon hung up and dropped the phone back on the desk. "Continue," he said to Ralph.

"The number of..." Ralph continued.

Jaxon Lee was the grandson of Chairman Lucas Lee, the owner of Lee group. His parent died when he young and his grandfather raised him. He was a successful and feared young man. He was also someone with an icy and reserved personality.

"__and the sales increased by four hundred," Ralph ended.

"Mmm," Jaxon nodded and turned his wrist to check his watch.

"There's a meeting with Stars now," Ralph said.

Jaxon stood up and wore his suit jacket. "Let's go."

8a.m. Radiant world

"We'd be shooting a new movie next week and I want you to take part in the audition. I spent time watching your commercials last night and I loved them. You have pretty good acting skills. So, I want you to prepare for the audition and if things go well, you'd take part in the film," CEO Dale said to Olivia.

"I'd put in my best sir," Olivia smiled.

"You have a beautiful smile. Just ensure you prepare well for the audition."

"Thanks sir, I won't disappoint.:

"I also found you a manager. You'd meet her soon. But she already has an actress she's working with, so, you'd be sharing a manager."

"I'm fine with it sir," Olivia was happy.

"And you're lucky, she's the manager to the star of this company, Daphne Kay," CEO Dale said.

Wow! Daphne Kay? She was an actress Olivia liked. She was really good at acting and Olivia had watched many of the films she stared in. She was really lucky. She was mostly happy she didn't get to share a manager with Amelia.

"Is Daphne Kay fine with it?" Olivia asked.

"She doesn't know about it yet, but she'd find out about in soon. I'm sure she wouldn't mind."

"Okay."

Meanwhile.....

Radiant World VIP dressing room

"WHAT?!"Daphne yelled when her assistant broke the news to her.

"The CEO made the arrangement and she couldn't say no," her assistant, Lacey said.

"How could he make such a decision without informing me? He wants me to share my manager with a low class actress?? Aargh!!" She screamed and pushed a chair.

Lacey only stood still and watched her boss. She knew how hot-tempered her boss was.

"This is not happening! I'm not going to let anything taint my reputation. I have to see him now," she said and walked out of the dressing room with Lacey following behind.

Daphne Kay was the only daughter of the third most respected CEO in the country. She was a talented actress but was very hot-tempered. She also was an over pampered child and was only able to keep the position of Radiant world's star, not only because she was a talented actress, but also because of her father's position.

"You can leave now. You'd be introduced to your manager once she's around." CEO Dale said.

"Okay," Olivia stood up and walked to the door. She turned the door knob and someone entered. It was Daphne.

"Hi," Olivia said when she saw Daphne, but Daphne only ignored her.

Daphne walked straight to the CEO's desk.

"I demand an explanation for this," she aaid.

"I'm sorry Daphne, I made the decision late, and I didn't want to disturb you," CEO Dale said.

"What if I don't agree to this?" She asked.

"Are you scared the new actress woukd take your place?" CEO Dale asking jokingly.

"No. Fine, I'll accept. But, that's to prove to you that even though we're sharing a manager, I'm still the best actress Radiant World has," Daphne said proudly.

"Fine, agreed."

Daphne turned to Olivia who hadn't left, she stared at her for a while before she left.

Olivia was surprised that Daphne had such an attitude. It was nothing like she was expecting.
