David looked at his departing back and then looked at the food again, 'He didn't eat his food today too.' an evil smile found on his face.

After he was gone, Roxy fell down on the floor and tears moved out of her eyes. She wanted to cry out loudly, however, remembered that he would beat her even more if she didn't deliver his food on time.
After taking some breaths she stood up and took all the plates to the kitchen, she then placed food in new plates for Jack.
There was a painful expression on her face. 'I can't bear this forever I have to stop him somehow!' She thought and more tears moved out of her eyes.
She has never felt this helpless in her life before.
After some time she came to her room with food plates in her hand, she could see David sitting on her reading table with a book in his hand, he was reading through it.
Her eyes narrowed and then she could see that he was reading a cultivation manual.
Gulping her saliva she took in a deep breath. 'He would never be successful in cultivation with his pathetic talent.' She thought and was a bit relieved.
She knew that David would never be able to surpass Sophia no matter how hard he tried. As Sophia was way more talented than him and one day or another she would definitely save her.
'I just have to survive this till Sophia becomes truly strong, then she will be able to help me.' She thought and moved towards the table. 'I hope I can bear it till then.'
"Master your food." She said.
David, who was busy reading a cultivation manual when heard her words, looked up and sorted. He placed his book away. "Place them here." He said and looked at the table.

She turned around and looked at him with dreadful expression. "Master, I was going to clean the plates in the kitchen." She said, her voice containing a bit of fear.

A shudder went down Roxy's spine at his words. She could never bear beatings on a daily basis.
"I am sorry master." She said.
