David soon moved to the last floor of the brothel with Miss Jinx, this was the floor which she stayed on.
He looked at the floor and his eyes glimmered with light. 'This is wealth!' He thought as he looked around the opulent atmosphere.
There were ancient pots everywhere and gold jewellery laid around on the table as if they were stones and marbles.
There was a bed in the corner of the room and in the middle there was a giant table around which sofa seats were placed, there was a huge chandelier that emitted a dim light throughout the whole place.
Jinx moved ahead, her bouncy ass shaking with her every step.
David's gaze followed her steps and in the distance on the plush sofas, he could see a lady sitting. Her face was covered with a veil and her dark eyes were like pools of darkness looking at the teapot in front of her.
She was making tea religiously, and her every hand moment was filled with grace and elegance, her pink dress flowed with her every moment.
"Rose," Jinx called out and only then did the lady in pink raise her head and look at Jinx, her eyes narrowed in a smile and one could tell that she was smiling under her veil.
"Roxy's son is here. Make some tea for him too." Jinx said as she glanced back at David, standing in the distance.
Rose heard her words and moved her gaze to David and a frown appeared on her face when she saw his clothes.
"He is Miss Roxy's son?" She said, her voice gentle but mixed with a hint of confusion.
Rose knows that Roxy was the wife of one of the top inspection officers. She knew that Roxy was rich. 'So why does he wear such bad clothes?' she was confused.
"He is David," Jinx said and sat down near Rose, her long legs moving over each other gracefully. Together both beauties created a serene atmosphere.
"Hello, David, why are you wearing such old clothes? Is this some kind of kink?" Rose asked with her brows raised there was a hint of mockery in her tone.
She was one of the top beauties of this brothel, living on the fifth floor and had seen many men with different kinds of kinks.
David listened to her and bowed a bit. "No Madam Rose. I just don't have enough money to buy clothes." He said truthfully.
Jinx listened to him and let out a chuckle. "Roxy is such a bad mother. She treats her real child with such care and her stepson, she doesn't even care about you." She looked at David with a curious gaze.
David stayed silent at her comment.
Rose, who was looking at David with a curious gaze, when heard Jinx's words, snorted. "So he is just a stepson." Her tone was disdainful. "No wonder he is wearing such bad clothes." She scoffed.
"Don't treat him like that Rose. He is still the son of the Inspection Officer." Jinx chuckled.
David stayed silent at their words, he knew that it would not end well for him if he said something. 'I will take revenge one day!' He decided and looked at them with a focused gaze.
Rose noticed his gaze and snorted. "No matter if he is the son of an Officer, a dog is still a dog. Jinx, why did you bring him here?" Rose looked at Jinx with a displeased expression.
She didn't wanna interact with someone that has no worth.
Jinx's smile widened at her words. "Rose I know that you have a passion for making tea." She said.
"So what does this have anything to do with him?" Rose was confused.
"Roxy told me his special talent." Jinx stood up and started moving towards David again, her steps filled with seduction.
"Special talent?" Rose asked with an impatient tone, she was still confused.
"Roxy said that he makes the best tea in this city." Jinx finally stood in front of David and placed her finger on his chin, her long nail pressed against his skin. "Am I right David?" She asked.
Rose listened to her and snorted. "How can this pathetic guy make better tea than me? Sister Jinx, are you fooling with me?" She was annoyed.
"I am sceptical too, but since Roxy was boasting so much we should at least let him make it once," Jinx said and looked back at Rose.
"No need, sister Jinx, Roxy must have been drunk when she was saying that." Rose cast a disdainful gaze at David.
"She even said that his tea makes her relax and even put her to sleep. And it doesn't even smell like chamomile." Jinx looked at David curiously.
"No way! This is pure bullshit. How can a tea that relaxes doesn't have a chamomile smell?" Rose stood up, leaving her tea on the table.
Jinx looked at her and chuckled. "Why are you getting so annoyed? We could just test her words." Jinx said and moved towards Rose. "And a lady should not curse."
Rose took in a deep breath at her words. "OK, however, you will have to give me ten gold coins if it's not better than mine!" She said in an annoyed tone and looked at David with a sharp gaze.
Jinx smiled at her words and nodded. "Ok." Her words were simple. "However if he succeeded then you will give me ten."
"Sure!" Rose snorted.
"Don't disappoint me, David." Jinx looked at David.
David on the other hand looked at them and gulped his saliva, he never wanted to get involved in their bet, however now he had no choice.
If he refused Jinx then he was sure that he would be beaten again today. After some time he nodded. "Sure, Madam." He bowed slightly.
"Let's prepare it," Jinx said and pointed at a small door in the corner. "That is the kitchen, take anything you want and make two cups." She said and sat down on the sofa again.
Rose kept silent and sat again too, she started preparing her tea again. Disdain was visible on her face.
David didn't waste time and quickly moved towards the kitchen, all he needed to make his tea was a teapot, some water and a stove.
"I don't like losing David." Suddenly Jinx's voice came when he was about to enter the kitchen.
He could feel a threatening undertone in her words and goosebumps raised on his body. He could only imagine what would happen to him if she got angry.
Just now he saw how many people in this city revered her. She was no small figure.
"Don't scare him, sister." Rose chuckled, she was sure that a pathetic-looking guy could never make better tea than her.
All her life Rose had been trained to make tea, she knew all the blends and knew how to make them to perfection. She was sure that no one in the city could make better tea than her.
Even the famous Moonshine Restaurant ask her to make tea for any special guest that comes from big martial arts academies.
David turned around and nodded at her, he then moved into the kitchen silently.
His eyes widened when he looked around the kitchen, it was big and every possible item was there.
There were even many blends of tea jars. David looked at them and gulped his saliva.
'I can't just use my tea, I have to make it seem like I used theirs.' He thought and took out ten random tea jars and some spices.
He then placed a pot on the stove and started boiling some water.
"Sister Jinx, why are you so confident in him?" Rose looked at her with her brows raised. She knew that Jinx would never place a bet on someone random.
Jinx smiled. "Roxy hates him, so why would she boast about his tea? There must be something to it." She said.
"Hmph! It's just a trick, he must have fooled Madam Roxy somehow, however, he would never be able to fool me." Rose snorted.
After about fifteen minutes Rose already prepared her tea and poured it into three cups.
"Taste it, this is my new blend," Rose said as she looked at the tea cups with her eyes glimmering.
Jinx moved her hand elegantly and picked up the teacup. "Mm..." The fresh aroma of tea leaves assaulted her nose and a smile formed on her face. "I might lose money today." She said.
Rose chuckled at her words. "You should give it to me right now, there is no way he would be able to make it better than this." She had a proud expression on her face.
"Let's wait for a bit." Jinx looked at the kitchen with a slight smile on her face. "Let's see if Roxy was boasting or if there was any substance to her words."
Soon David came out of the kitchen with a tray in his hands, on it were placed two teacups with steam rising from them.
Jinx looked at him and nodded. "I can't wait anymore, come here quickly." She said.
David nodded and quickly placed the tray on the table in front of them, there was a nervous expression on his face.
Both Rose and Jinx looked at the tea cups and stayed silent. After some seconds, Jinx picked up one of the cups.
Moving the cup close to her nose she took a whiff and her eyes widened. Her gaze moved up again and she looked at David with a surprised expression on her face.
Rose, who was looking at Jinx with a frown, when saw the change in her expression looked at the tea again.
"There is no way it's better!" She snorted and picked up the teacup and she took in a whiff too. As the refreshing scent attacked her nasal cavity a shiver ran down her spine.
Her head moved up quickly and she assessed David again. 'This guy! It's not possible!' Rose gulped her saliva.
"Nice smell," Jinx commented with a small smile on her face.
Rose took in a deep breath and calmed down, she knew that Jinx's simple comment meant that she liked the smell of tea better than hers.
Or she would have never complimented David's tea if it was even a bit worse than hers.
"It's just the smell, I am sure he sacrificed the taste for this scent," Rose said with an annoyed tone.
Jinx let out a small laugh at her words. "That could be the case." She said, however, there was an excited expression on her face. "Let me taste it then."
Jinx took the cup near her lips and took in a sip.
Gulp...
Just as the tea entered her palette a soothing feeling moved through her brain and she felt instantly relaxed.
Her hands and legs felt calm and even her brain quietened. The colours around the room seemed more vibrant and she felt cool in her chest.
She looked at Rose and placed the cup down. Then a twinkling laughter moved out of her mouth, it was the laugh of amusement.
Rose looked at her with a frown. "Why are you laughing sister Jinx? There is no way it tastes better."
Jinx stopped laughing and looked at Rose. "You will be the judge of that, I leave it to you, if you say that it tastes worse, then you can take ten gold coins from me." She had a confident expression on her face.
David's eyes on the other hand widened when he heard Jinx's words. 'There is no way Rose would ever admit defeat. I am dead!'
Rose looked at David. "Don't worry, I won't be biased." She said with a disdainful smile. She was confident that her tea was better than his.
The teacup moved near her lips and she took in a sip. And just as she did so her eyes widened and her gaze shot up again and landed on David.
Silence covered the place for a moment and Rose placed the cup back on the table. Taking in a deep breath she looked at Jinx.
"So which one is better?" Jinx asked with her brows raised, there was a teasing smile on her face.
Rose stayed silent and took out a pouch from her waist and then placed ten gold coins on the table.
