"Witnessing the sight of the body of his brother stabbing him, Aegir, before dying, found the occasion to do two things."
The first was to open his gigantic mouth, and swallow alive his possessed brother. By doing so, not only did he trapped Nàgr inside his dying body, but also fused with him using some of his last remaining powers. It stopped Nàgr from using Vanir body, and simply sealed him forever.
But there was also a second thing...
"Of course, the universe couldn't come back to a state of nothingless. So, using everything he had left, the god grabbed the hammer of creation and pressed it against his open flesh. A blinding light, which some link to the "big bang" then exploded within the entire universe, and from the dying god's blood merged the nine lords."
Celia clapped once her hand, finally done explaining the main part of the world's creation following The Letatras. Asaki wasn't that surprised, the new version which he knew a little bit of also stated that after the conflict of two brothers, one swallowed the other and created the lords using some of his flesh and soul. Like, separating his soul into soul shards.
But he indeed didn't know about Nàgr, who literally changed the whole story.
"Hmm I mean, there's not really only Nine Shards from the Gods, you surely know about it..."
Asaki looked at Celia, whom had now jumped off the bench to stand in front of him. Her orange eyes were still looking at some altars near the entrance of the church, so at the exact opposite of their position.
"Yeah, there's like..."
"Eighteen Entities."
Celia completed the man's sentence, turning for a few seconds her head in his direction to meet his eyes. Indeed, since there were at the beginning two gods, Nàgr being a sort of... Fragment itself of Vanir, although it was a fair more developed one, each god separated themselves into eighteen entities.
The Nine Lord from Aegir, shining with his braveness and rightfulness, leaded by Asea.
And the Nine Tyrants from Vanir, surrounded and imbued by the corruption of Nàgr who was still sealed inside of the gods, leaded by Vanea.
Both of the leader were strong and beautiful women, but one wanted to build a new world in the honor of her father, while the other wanted to enter inside of the corpses and kill Nàgr.
But one side had already retrieved the two godly relics, while the other had nothing but their wrath toward the corrupted god.
"Still, Asea, in her infinite kindness, wanted to avoid fighting with her companions. And so, made a pact."
Celia gently grabbed Asaki's arm to lead him to the church's entrance, where stood two altars on each side of the gigantic door. A black and red one, beneath a painting where stood nine ugly figures, and a black and golden one, where stood nine magnificent ones. Between the two painting, was engraved a golden symbol representing two hands shaking, surrounded by some kind of sun.
"Those being part of Asea's faction, whom wanted to create a word filled with life to honor Aegir and Vanir, decided to let the ones following Vanea trying to kill Nàgr inside of the god's corpses. But not before they created the world using Aegir's flesh..."
And without even knowing the storyline, Asaki quickly guessed what this could've leaded to.
"... Meaning that the Vanea's would have to be sealed themselves in the middle of the world they'll made, in order to keep containing Nàgr if they lost."
And of course, the Tyrants, only filled by revenge, quickly accepted the proposition.
°°°
"I can see your tired face, Asaki... Don't worry, I talked a lot, but it's almost finished ! Mostly."
Of course that he was tired ! They were in the middle of the night now, and even if he loved mythology, Asaki had already lost a lot of hours of sleep since they awoke.
"After the world was created using Aegir's flesh, the seas using his blood, the trees his hair and clouds his brain, the lords shared equally the power of the relics into nine fragments. Each fragment became a weapon or tool representative of the lord, like Asea's sword or Askeus's axe... But the tyrants didn't got anything before sealing themselves within the world."
Felt logic, it would've been useless to do so if they wouldn't come back on earth.
"And this is what caused their lose. After one or two centuries, the world where lived alone the lords, not done yet creating the humans, suddenly filled with a gigantic storm. Still existing today...'
Indeed, Celia was talking about Stortmheim. This was a strange phenomenon which covered around 70% of the world, a thundercloud so gigantic and powerful that it literally was impossible to reach the rest of the world because of its winds.
And also sending fuses to space, always getting blew up by the same winds.
Was this really a religious phenomenon ? A physic one ? Both had valid arguments, but since humanity was now more relaying on science than religion...
"It appears that the Vanea's broke their pact, as after their defeat, to avoid suffering as much as Vanir did, they broke through the ground and merged once again the world with Nàgr's fragments."
Celia looked at one of the paints, where flowing from the ground, dressed the same nine ugly guys, this time even way more ugly.
"Both of the Nine Lords and Tyrants then also had a fight, luckily won by the Lords which sealed the tyrants once again inside of the earth, but this time with a stronger seal. And then... They finally created humans and animals, this team free from any impurities as Nàgr was."
And then... The Lords simply travelled throughout the entire world to keep it working, slowly fighting against Stormheim, still too powerful to be fully erased.
The last paint exactly showed the same Nine beautiful persons, five women and four men, walking together inside of a green land. All followed one woman, a red-haired one, firmly holding a sword, and surrounded by divinity.
"That's Asea. Lord of the stars, metals, virtue and Salvation. Also known as the lord of lords."
Celia sincerely smiled while she looked at the red-haired woman, which looked a lot like her. Now, she wasn't hiding anymore being part of The Letatras, which surprised Asaki, but also slightly disgusted him by reflex.
"And next to her is Askeus, her husband. He's the Lord of seas, storms, crystals and retribution. Right ?"
Asaki still had some culture about them, and a right one since Celia slowly nodded, still adding something just after he was done talking.
"Also commerce, although it's not that important."
And the third most important Lord was... Their daughter, Edda, Lord of sky, clouds, gold, and Revelation. Even if gold itself was a metal, so...
"I'm not gonna lie Asaki, I feel really tired now, you know, talking that much haha ! Hope you don't find it, too weird...?"
The man quickly shook his head, he wasn't really that much of a Letatras hater, and firmly defended the right of everyone having a different opinion.
In fact, it was even kind of cute to see the girl talking with so much admiration during an hour, and quite interesting.
"No, no... Don't worry, it's remarkable to know so much about something, and being so interested. To be honest, I'll be genuinely happy if you decided later to teach me more about... This Old Letatras mythology."
A wide smile enlightened the girl's face, who also slightly blushed of joy. It was surely the first time, except for the others believers, that someone seemed to really like her talking about The Letatras. Keeping such a hobby for herself since so long must've been hard.
"Hmm... Thank you Asaki ! Of course, I'll be happy to tell you more about it, even for months if needed !"
She kept smiling at him a few more seconds, before slowly walking away, walking alongside the other lord's altars to reach one of the largest bench, where she'll carefully lay.
And soon, it was now only about Asaki, standing alone in front of the multiple paints encrusted inside the walls, not tired at all.
