"How are the children though?" Vincent asked after a moment of silence.
Everything had happened so suddenly, they did not really pay attention to the children.
"They are good, I put them to sleep just now." Ariel said, causing Vincent to smile a little, he must have saved a whole damn planet in his past life to end up with a woman like her.
"We should go ahead and sleep too, we will think of a plan tomorrow, now it's important you get some rest." Vincent stated and Ariel nodded in agreement.
It is already so late, the mind needs its rest, one needs to be level-headed to cook up a plan.
When they got to their room, both of them took a shower then laid on the bed, enjoying each other's comfort.
Ariel placed her head on Vincent's chest listening to his steady heartbeat with her eyes closed.
She was not asleep but deep in thought, replaying all the that happened today in her head, and the story that Vincent told her as well.
