"We are adopting Xander as your new brother." Ariel said with a soft smile on her face, causing Anna to mouth an 'Oh' and then go back to her food.
"Mama, papa, how did you guys manage to find Jason later on." She brought up again, causing Ariel and Vincent to exchange glances.
They had forgotten completely about the fact Anna knew Jason was missing and that Xander had something to do with it.
"Xander and I snuck out to watch a math bowl." Jason finally spoke in a low tone.
Xander eyes widened as he stared at with Jason with soft eyes.
Despite what happened, Jason still wanted to protect him-
"She's in a delicate state." Jason whispered going back to his food while Xander's originally lightened up gaze fell.
How could he just assume he was forgiven?
No one would even want to look at him after going through that.
