The Prophet and the Zealot

Synopsis

Introduction

Our story begins with the Zealot, Marcus Arteta, He is exalting himself in his knowledge while ridiculing the common man. Establishing his defiance in his ideologies, he begins preparing for his next adventure.

Admiring his magnificent palace, he walks around thinking aloud, "I have often referred to myself as an intellectual" said the Zealot, "a wise man, offering solutions to the hardest of problems and profitable counsel to the greatest of men, so much that the pride in my ways is not without weight. In my search for knowledge, I have wandered in the libraries of Egypt and across the halls of Greece and Rome, I have eaten with the Persians, danced with the Anunnaki and sought enlightenment in the Indus Valley gathering for myself the wisdom of men in no small measure."

"I, Marcus, now becoming incomparable amongst my peers, possessing both the knowledge of the old and new, can not help but see the error in the ways of men."

How irritable can the common man become? He asks rhetorically, "What marvels would he perform next?"

A speculative breed of men with no grasp on the realities of the cosmos, the common man is a mere product of negligible intellect and crude satisfaction. Ah! He sighs dejectedly, there is truly no hope for this world, a world with common men. "I am delighted in my convictions", he says boisterously, "emancipating myself from the bonds of mental slavery, now bound heart and soul to the pursuit of knowledge. None is greater than a man who is rooted in his beliefs, who sees the world as it is and is content with his role in the greater purpose."

"This man is admirable and to be modeled, he has command over the affairs of his mind and because of this, controls the world. This is the perfect man, Unshakeable in his thoughts and strong in his ideologies. I for one, have always being a strong believer of my ideas, some may even refer to me as a zealot! Laughable

I have made a great name for myself and acquired riches through the mastery of my craft. I, following my carefully guided principles became famous across the entire kingdom, Opulence and riches naturally occurring as time and tide.

However, I still feel Inadequate, What more may be out there? What knowledge can still be achieved? Shall I take a journey?, A visit to the greatest cities, Flamence, Covender where knowledge is exalted and priceless, Maybe there I will have my fill, a good share of the wisdom of the antiquities.

Ha!, Gather my belongings, he bellowed across the hall, and bring a map to my study, I will embarking on a journey, A journey of enlightenment.
