Annie wiped her sweaty face. She held her and chest and heaved a sigh of relief.
"Thank goodness, it was just a dream."
She clasped her hands together, "Please God don't let Christopher harm my daughter." She prayed.
She got down from the bed. She got out from the room going outside.
She somehow found her way to the garden. Sighting a chair in it, she sat on it
Life without her daughter was nothing. She misses her so much. A tear ran down her cheeks, She sniffed and wiped it.
"Can't sleep?"
She turned around startled. It was Christian. He was smiling at her.
She rolled her eyes and looked at the moon instead.
"That's none of your business. Leave me alone." She said pissed.
He sighed and sat beside her. She shifted on the chair.
"Why are you still angry with me? I'm really sorry Annie and I wanna makw it up to you."
"No thank you I don't need you anymore." She looked away.
He squinted his eyes.
"Oh really?"
He tickled her sides. She sprang up.
"Hey stop that." Her eyes were widened.
"I didn't do anything." He raised his hands.
Angry, she went towards the swimming pool. She stood beside it trying to calm herself down.
She heard whistling behind her. He was whistling near her ears.
"Stop it." She slapped at him irritated.
He quickly pecked her cheeks and stood up straight as I'd he hadn't done anything.
She gasped loudly and faced him, "How dare you!"
He chuckled, "Stop acting as if you didn't enjoy it." He rolled his eyes.
She clenched her fists, "You... Go away!"
He smirked and came closer.
She moved backwards irritated.
He came closer. She moves backwards.
He took another step forward. Frustrated and angry she took a step back.
Splash! She fell into the pool.
Christian raised his brows surprised and broke down in laughter.
"You fell into the pool." He laughed.
"Help! I can't swim." She threw her hands around.
"Is that so?" He smirked.
"Christian please help me." She gasped trying to keep her head out of the water.
He shook his head amused. He went back.
Annie was too surprised to say anything. He left her here?
She kept trying to bring herself to land but all her efforts were in vain.
Something or someone dived into the pool.
She was confused. What was going on?
She felt hands around her waist and they drew her forward. She felt herself against something hard.
She looked up and saw Christian smiling at her.
"You came back." She managed to say.
"Of course I'd come back. I left you once but I promise I'll never leave you again."
She rolled her eyes.
"Get me out of here." She hit his chest.
"Wanna leave so soon?* He arched his brow.
"Am I supposed to stay here?"
"I miss you." He said softly.
Her heart skipped a beat. She gulped, trying to avoid his eyes.
His hand slowly brushed her wet hair off her face.
"You look beautiful this way."
A blush crept up her neck. She looked away, her face turning a bright red colour.
He brought her closer, his face came closer.
"What... What are you.. do . doing?" She could feel her heart pounding in her chest.
He rested his head against hers, "Annie I'm really sorry. I swear it was not my intention to leave you."
"But you still left me Christian."
"Annie I swear, I was tied."
"Tied? So what if you were tied? You just left me to be by myself. You couldn't we've assist me with anything. You just threw me out!"
"Annie listen..."
"I don't wanna listen. Just get me out of here." She looked away.
"Please try to understand me. I'm trying to make it up to you."
"I don't need your help Christian. I don't need you now. You left me just when I needed you the most." She broke down in tears.
Christian sighed. He led her out of the pool. Annie quickly ran out of the pool not looking back.
She got to her room dripped wet. Not minding her state, she plopped on the bed.
'There's no need holding a grudge against him Annie. He's sorry.' A quiet voice said.
'No Annie, you have every right to be mad at him. He left you alone all these year's. He didn't bother to look for you.' A louder voice saus..
'No Annie, listen to me. Forgive him.'
'No don't forgive Christian.'
Annie held her head.
Leave me alone!"
"Christian was never there for me. I will never forgive him!"
She cried herself to sleep.
The next morning, Christian's phone rang. It was an unknown number.
"Hello?"
"Hello dearest brother."
"Christopher?"
"Yeah brother, it's me." He laughed.
"What do you want Christopher?" He asked angrily.
"Your daughter is with me now and trust me when I say I'm gonna kill her." He added very cold.
"Christopher you wouldn't dare!"
"Dare me!"
"Christopher I beg you. Please don't harm her."
"No way brother. You took everything from me and now I'm taking them back."
"What did I ever take fro you Christopher?"
"You took what belonged to me! And I'm take them back starting with your daughter." He ended the call.
"Hello? Christopher?" He was panicking.
******
Christopher smirked at Christine.
"Our smart little Angel. You thought I wouldn't find you."He laughed evily.
"Today, you're gonna meet your father in heaven Angel." H e smirked.
"My father in heaven? My father is in heaven?" She blinked.
Christopher rolled his eyes irritated.
"Stop asking questions!" He yelled.
She coiled in her chair, frightened.
"Samson."
Ca. "Yes sir?"
"Tie the bomb around her." He ordered.
Samson quickly did as he had been told.
Christine was oblivious to what was happening to her. She kept begging for freedom.
"Call Christian on video."
"Yes sir."
He dialled Christian's number. Christian immediately picked up the call. He handed it to Christopher.
V. "My dearest brother, see how your little Kitty's gonna die." He showed him what was tied around Christine.
"Is that a bomb?" He asked horrified.
"Yeah. It is a bomb." He laughed, laying emphasis on the is.
"Christopher please don't do anything to her. I promise you, I'll do anything you want but please don't let anything happen to her. I beg you." He pleaded.
"You'll do anything?"
"Yes. Anything. Just please don't harm her."
"I want you to transfer all of your property in my name. Those belong to me. You'llyou'll also make sure I get all those landed properties, I get to run all industries. I want them all."
"Oh and I'll have my way with Annie and there's nothing you're gonna do about it." He smirked.
Christian was weakened to the bone marrow but he didn't want to lose Christine. He sighed.
"I'll do as you say Christopher."
"If you try acting smart." He raised the detonator, "I'll press this and she'll be gone."
"No, No. I won't do anything. Just don't harm her please."
"Come here right now."
"Yes." He sighed, "I'm coming."
