I stand there watching both Daniel and Elena have their moment. They're both talking to each other like I'm not standing there like I'm invisible. I was the one who got here to check up on him when Elena was doing whatever with whoever.
"It hasn't been weeks, that means I haven't missed my birthday?" He asks.
"When is your birthday?" Elena asks him but she looks at me, I roll my eyes and I look away.
"October thirteenth."
"Oh, this is October eighth." Says Elena.
"Yes! It would be fowl to be stuck in my head on my birthday. I still have a lot to plan." Typical Daniel, he loves parties. He hasn't been awake for fifteen minutes and he's already talking about throwing a party. "We're finally going to be seventeen," he says to me with a smile on his face. I smile back, and it's not a fake smile this time. We're growing up, time moves so fast.
