Chu Tian changed his voice, appearance, and even his demeanor to become a completely different person. This left the three student soldiers puzzled, wondering who this powerful newcomer was. Yu Weiwei felt the person was somewhat familiar, but she would never guess it was Chu Tian. Yu Tiexiong and Xiong Haoran, through Nuo Ta's conversation, knew who the newcomer was but chose to stay silent, understanding the trouble that would arise if news of Chu Tian being alive got out.
Just then, they noticed that more beasts were beginning to gather nearby. "Damn it! When will this end?" Hong Chang complained. Chu Tian estimated that these beasts were at least twice as many as before. While they had faced thousands previously, now there were at least ten thousand beasts gathering.
"Has the message been sent out? These beasts clearly don't want us establishing a base here," Chu Tian said. Nuo Ta showed him the communicator, indicating that not only had he sent out the message, but he had also requested support from other idle teams. However, it seemed that other teams were also under beast tide attacks.
Seeing the beasts ready to charge, Chu Tian quickly took out Gauss semi-automatic rifles and steel armors from his system space. "Nuo Ta, use these weapons and equipment to reduce spirit energy consumption," Chu Tian instructed, and Nuo Ta distributed the four sets of armors and rifles without hesitation. The student soldiers, who were just there to pass time and looked down on mercenaries, were not given any equipment, as Nuo Ta feared they might turn on the team.
Yu Weiwei, Nuo Ta, Hong Chang, and Aya were equipped with the armors. Other team members were already fierce enough to match the beasts. Chu Tian then took out a vintage pistol named Jessica, which he had taken from Max, and handed it to Hong Chang for protection. However, as soon as Hong Chang touched the gun, it seemed to come alive, floating in the air and pointing at her forehead. Everyone was shocked, including Chu Tian, but he then recalled what Clysa had told him about the gun being a temperamental girl. Realizing that the gun might have its own consciousness, Chu Tian tried to grab it but it resisted and flew up again. Confused as to why the gun that used to stay in his system space was now acting alive, Chu Tian hung it on his waist and prepared for battle.
The beasts had not yet attacked and were just gathering. Suddenly, a familiar figure appeared in the distance, causing Chu Tian's pupils to dilate – it was the Octopus Shark, an S-level beast. He was surprised that this sea creature had left the port, as many sea beasts rarely left their habitats. His team also saw the enormous thirty-meter-long Octopus Shark, knowing it was a challenge far beyond their capabilities.
"Quickly call for support from other teams. We can't withstand this tide. We can also ask for help from the school's teachers," one of the student soldiers, pale with fear, shouted. The other two seemed too stunned to react. The latest news was that all teams were under beast attacks and the airport was struggling to cope. However, the good news was that the Third Mercenary Base was dispatching a hundred C-level rated teams and ten thousand defense soldiers, but they would take at least two and a half hours to arrive.
Chu Tian looked at the assembled beasts, ready to charge, with the Octopus Shark as their leader. Deciding to target the leader, he prepared to confront the Octopus Shark, wanting to test the limits of his Emperor's Bone Sword Scripture and Slaying Heaven Sword Formation.
He leaped up, holding the Emperor's Overlord Spear, and flew towards the Octopus Shark, shouting to his team to be careful while he distracted the beast. Nuo Ta and the others objected, but Chu Tian was already hundreds of meters away. Wielding his spear, he dispatched several flying beasts and started disassembling their corpses.
A minute later, Chu Tian stood before the Octopus Shark, holding the Emperor's Overlord Spear. The Octopus Shark recognized the Emperor's Overlord Spear and the disguise of Emperor Whale. Initially retreating, the shark then stopped and sniffed the air before opening its mouth and roaring, its tentacles whipping towards Chu Tian like whips. It had seen through Chu Tian's disguise – a B+ level fighter could not possibly be the Emperor Whale.
Chu Tian dodged the tentacles and thrust his spear forward, piercing the attacking tentacles. The Octopus Shark quickly withdrew its tentacles and spoke in a muffled human voice, "So you're not the Emperor Whale. Since you have his weapon and his appearance, he must be dead, right?"
"You guess?" Chu Tian replied teasingly but prepared to set up a large formation. Although surprised that the Octopus Shark could speak human language, he recalled from the federation's beast manual that S-level beasts could speak human languages and even transform into humans
