Chapter 118 - 118

"It's not strange, is it? After all, this is one of the territories under the jurisdiction of the Third Human Base, so finding someone isn't difficult," Caesar said indifferently.

"So, what's the deal with this Xuan Yuan Yuan? An S+ expert wouldn't easily work as an assassin for someone, right?" Chu Tian was somewhat puzzled.

"Xuan Yuan Yuan originally couldn't advance to S+ and was reaching the end of his lifespan. To prolong his life, he sought out the Clinton family and used drugs to advance. This granted him an extra two to three hundred years of life, but the cost was that he couldn't fully unleash his S+ strength, and he might not even reach the initial stage of S," Caesar explained.

He paused for a moment before continuing, "Perhaps intimidating those below A-level won't be a problem, but if he encounters a formidable A+ talented martial artist, his fate might be similar to what you experienced."

Upon hearing Caesar's somewhat subtle praise, Chu Tian felt quite pleased with himself.

However, when he looked at Claire, he noticed that her expression was less than pleasant, and he couldn't determine what had happened.

"The Clinton family has taken action, and the Federation wants to use you to provoke a conflict between the Scaxon family and the Clinton family so they can benefit from it," Claire explained.

Chu Tian realized that killing Federal agent Xu Qiaoyuan and Max from the Clinton family would likely make him a target, but it seemed that his initial thoughts were too simplistic.

It seemed to confirm the saying from his previous life, "If you're good at internal strife, you're a domestic expert; if you're good at external strife, you're a foreign expert."

"So, what's your plan, Scaxon family?" Chu Tian inquired after a moment of silence.

"We're leaving! Trying to disappear from others' sight for a while," Claire said as she took out a spatial bag. "Inside here are some spiritual energy crystals, basic supplies, and a letter of recommendation from the Scaxon Battle Academy. After you advance to A-level, take this letter to the Bright Sea at the Scaxon's headquarters."

Claire then smiled slightly and added, "You're pretty good with that pistol of yours."

Chu Tian was left speechless by her words. He suspected that Claire was the one driving earlier, but he had no evidence.

Ignoring Chu Tian's puzzled expression, Claire continued, "The Clinton family's gun is called Jessica, a very powerful and temperamental girl. Treat her well."

This statement left Chu Tian even more bewildered. What did she mean?

Claire, however, didn't explain and simply returned to the aircraft.

Before Caesar boarded the aircraft, he suddenly stopped and beckoned for Chu Tian to come closer. Chu Tian, curious, approached, and Caesar leaned in close to his ear.

A fragrant breeze with a hint of warmth tickled Chu Tian's ear, making it itch slightly. Caesar whispered softly, "The Lone Wolf is on the north side of the airport. Remember not to leave any survivors."

The enmity between the Lone Wolf and Chu Tian was simple – the Lone Wolf had refused to join their Black Robe squad. This matter was known by few, but Claire, Caesar, and the senior members of the mercenary base were certainly aware.

Seeing Caesar flash a rare flirtatious smile, Chu Tian blushed inwardly. Caesar didn't linger and happily boarded the aircraft.

The aircraft lifted off from its hover and quickly flew into the distance.

Once Claire and the others had left, Chu Tian took out the pistol named Jessica. He examined the intricate golden patterns and the antique texture of the gun. It was hard to imagine such a gun being referred to as a girl by Claire.

After inspecting the gun for a while, Chu Tian couldn't make much sense of it, so he stowed it away directly into his system's storage space.

After Claire and her team left, Chu Tian resumed his training.

On the third day, Chu Tian, through absorbing a large number of spiritual energy crystals, managed to advance the martial technique to the second level. In his dantian, a small vortex began to appear.

This tiny vortex kept rotating, starting to automatically absorb the dispersed spiritual energy in the surroundings.

This unnamed martial technique in the book had described that once reaching the second level, even eating and sleeping would become a form of cultivation. Essentially, apart from dedicated cultivation time, it would provide a small but worthwhile additional source of spiritual energy every day.

Reaching the second level, Chu Tian felt that his innate attack power had been significantly enhanced. Now, he was eager to learn the second half of this martial technique.

After packing his belongings, Chu Tian enjoyed a simple breakfast and then headed towards the location of the Lone Wolf.

During this time, he transformed himself to look exactly like Xuan Yuan Yuan, even matching his aura, and held Xuan Yuan Yuan's Snow Scale Sword.

With the addition of the techniques from the unnamed martial technique, he was practically indistinguishable from the real Xuan Yuan Yuan.

On the north side of the airport, Chu Tian stood in mid-air, and his spiritual power perception allowed him to sense the presence of Rayner and the Black Robes.

Their team was small, with only three members, similar to Chu Tian's group.

Chu Tian descended directly from the sky and landed in front of Rayner and the Black Robes.

Rayner exchanged a glance with the Black Robes, and they casually gave a reason to their team members, instructing them to move away. Then, they approached Chu Tian, giving a respectful salute and asking, "Senior Xuan Yuan, we didn't expect you to eliminate Chu Tian so quickly."

Hearing Rayner's words, the Chu Tian inside the black robe raised an eyebrow. He had never imagined that Rayner and his team would know about Xuan Yuan Yuan's mission to kill Chu Tian.

Obviously, their team's whereabouts had been leaked to Rayner and the others.

Chu Tian, dressed in a black robe, held the Snow Scale Sword, exuding an aura similar to Xuan Yuan Yuan. He could easily pass as a convincing imposter.

"To kill Chu Tian is a piece of cake for me, but you know this secret, so it seems you can't leave alive," Chu Tian imitated Xuan Yuan Yuan's tone as he spoke.

"Senior Xuan Yuan, what do you mean? If you kill us, the Federation won't let you off the hook," Rayner hurriedly replied. "Xu Qiao Shen isn't like the trash Xu Qiao Yuan."

Chu Tian sensed that he might have stumbled upon some secret, and he sneered, "Do you really think Xuan Yuan Yuan would care about what Xu Qiao Shen thinks?"

With that, he indicated that they should make their final statements quickly. Otherwise, they wouldn't have any more chances.

Rayner, at this point, appeared somewhat fearful. After all, they were facing an S+ expert like Xuan Yuan Yuan, even if this Xuan Yuan Yuan was, in fact, Chu Tian in disguise.

"Xuan Yuan, you had better not harm us. I am Xu Qiao Shen's nephew. If you kill us, you will definitely face endless pursuit," Rayner warned.

Chu Tian finally understood why Caesar had revealed Rayner and his team's location to him. It wasn't just because of the personal grudge
