Chapter 89 - 89

The crowd at the scene was cheering loudly, and the fighters in the ring put on an impressive show. The visual spectacle of the martial arts tournament was enjoyable, giving a sense of déjà vu, much like watching action movies in a past life.

In particular, a muscular man decided to abandon using his talent and engaged in hand-to-hand combat, which garnered cheers from many female spectators.

While the audience was entertained, Chu Tian was also delighted. After completing one round of the martial arts tournament, he had earned a significant amount of talent points. Chu Tian directly exchanged talents, accumulating over 8,000 talent points, bringing his total to an unprecedented 14,000+ talent points.

He had also exchanged his talents for "Mimicry" and "Poison Immunity," replacing "Bone Armor" and "Charm." However, he had to leave one talent slot for himself to exchange talent points, so he wouldn't run out of slots.

"Mimicry" was a rare talent that allowed him to change his appearance into that of others, including mimicking their behavior, mannerisms, and even their aura. Whether he could mimic monsters, Chu Tian wasn't sure. There were no records of someone mimicking monsters in the Federation's database, and he wasn't about to experiment openly, as it might attract the attention of numerous mercenaries.

"Poison Immunity" was a passive talent that made him immune to all toxins and gases. With this talent, Chu Tian no longer needed to fear poisonous creatures.

Chu Tian's talent list now looked like this:

- Ice

- Flame

- Aura Concealment

- Psychic Sensing (Sensing Range: 400 meters)

- Extreme Speed

- Mimicry

- Thunder

- Iron Body (Passive)

- Wind Blade

- Psychokinesis

- Blink

- Shatter (Passive)

- Shockwave

- Ant Strength (Passive)

- Flight

- Invisibility

- Regeneration (Passive)

- Barrier

- Poison Immunity (Passive)

- Reality Manifestation

- Earthshaker

- Sonic Fear Wave

- Prophecy

Talent Points: 14,855

With Chu Tian's current talents, he was essentially invincible among those of the same level. Even against B-level talent warriors, he was confident he wouldn't be at a disadvantage, unless they were as powerful as the top 100 monsters.

Now that he had collected nearly all available talents, there was no suspense about making it to the top three in the competition.

After the E-level and D-level talent warriors had completed their matches, it was time for the C-level and B-level warriors to compete in the afternoon. The B+ level battles would be scheduled for the following morning.

When everyone left, Chu Tian noticed that the staff at the mercenary base had reinforced the arenas and installed special defensive equipment to ensure that the battles between C-level and B-level warriors wouldn't affect the spectators.

Chu Tian returned to Kleya's private floor at the Golden Pavilion, where he had a simple lunch before starting his cultivation with spirit crystals. As the competition approached, he had a vague feeling that he was on the verge of breaking through to B-level, although he couldn't pinpoint exactly when it would happen.

In the afternoon, the competition was crowded with people once again. Chu Tian's draw number was thirteen, making him part of the first group of challengers. Unfortunately, Norta had drawn the number one spot, and the numbers were linked to their identity cards, making it impossible to exchange positions.

Chu Tian and Norta arrived at the prepared arena for their upcoming match. However, Red Robe didn't join them; after the morning's disappointment, she had returned home. Whether she was crying into her pillow in the bathroom or cultivating with spirit crystals remained unknown.

The host announced the start of the competition, and Norta reluctantly stepped onto the arena, equipped with a fake defense generator. When all the first to eighth-ranked talent warriors had taken the stage, Chu Tian and the other challengers also climbed up.

They were on the fifth arena, and Chu Tian's opponent was a burly bald man. This individual possessed dual talents, strength and Iron Body. With additional training, his muscular body was filled with explosive power, making him appear like a small mountain in front of Chu Tian.

However, Chu Tian didn't feel any pressure. He gave the man a polite smile and took a step forward.

"Kid, it seems you don't have much meat on you. Hurry up and jump off the stage yourself to save me from having to put you in bed for a few months," the muscular man taunted Chu Tian.

Chu Tian didn't pay much attention to his opponent's words. Instead, he smiled politely and then swiftly moved forward. Even though he hadn't activated his Extreme Speed, his speed, boosted by his four attributes, was already several times faster than that of an ordinary talent warrior.

Chu Tian understood the importance of speed in martial arts. As he quickly closed the distance, his opponent, who was still preparing to defend, was taken by surprise. Before the muscular man could get into a defensive stance, Chu Tian conjured an icy baseball bat in his hand and delivered a powerful strike to the man's soft abdomen.

The forceful blow caused the muscular man's mouth to widen in surprise, and he let out a loud cry as he vomited stomach acid. Chu Tian's strike had incapacitated him, and he was promptly removed from the arena, a result that the audience didn't expect.
