After eating and drinking his fill, Chu Tian patted his belly and said to Kleysa, "Thanks for the hospitality, I'll be heading back now."
"Bye, I won't see you out," Kleysa said without much enthusiasm.
Chu Tian knew that Kleysa was still upset. After all, becoming a cyborg wasn't her choice, and his earlier words had obviously hurt her.
After an awkward farewell to Kleysa, Chu Tian prepared to leave.
Just then, the already full Thunder Pattern Snow Fox "whooshed" down from the dining table and quickly climbed onto Chu Tian's shoulder.
This little creature, cunningly leaving after eating its fill, knew that an angry woman was not to be trifled with.
Chu Tian left the Golden Jade Mansion with the Thunder Pattern Snow Fox.
He took a cab downstairs, planning to head home.
When the taxi was about twenty to thirty meters away from his family's small supermarket, Chu Tian asked the driver to stop because he sensed a crowd gathered around his store.
Nearby, three young men in odd attire were surrounding the cash counter of his family's supermarket, one of them grabbing his father's collar.
Seeing this, Chu Tian walked over and, using telekinesis, made the blond man who was grabbing his father's collar suddenly let go, screaming.
The other two companions were slow to react and saw the blond man's hand twisted into a twist by an invisible force.
The agonizing scream from the blond man moved the onlooking bystanders.
Chu Tian pushed through the crowd into the supermarket and asked his parents, "Dad, Mom! Did these three hurt you?"
"No, there's a security army inside the base, they wouldn't dare to cause trouble."
Seeing Chu Tian, the three troublemakers were visibly scared, especially the blond-haired man with the twisted hand.
However, the bystanders understood that these three had encountered a tough nut to crack, and not just any ordinary one.
"Is that Chu Tian? I didn't expect the son of this small supermarket owner to be a big star from the mercenary base," a passerby said enviously.
"These three guys are said to have fled from the Fifth Human Base. It's one thing not to find proper work, but to bully honest people, they've now got Chu Tian, the captain of the X Mercenary Group, to deal with," another passerby said, clearly disliking the three men.
"Captain Chu, give these three a good lesson. They've been selling fake goods and scamming a lot of businesses," said a supermarket owner, clearly upset.
Chu Tian was surprised; he had no idea he was somewhat of a celebrity, and even more surprising was that these ordinary people knew him.
He took the Thunder Pattern Snow Fox off his shoulder and placed it into his mother Shen Lan's arms.
He glanced at the crowd trying to squeeze out but was blocked by onlookers.
"You three, who fled from the Fifth Human Base, aren't you afraid of being caught by the security army?" Chu Tian asked sternly, staring at the blond-haired man who had tucked his hands in front of his chest.
These three were not talent warriors but just ordinary people who were physically fit and knew some martial arts.
Although Chu Tian despised such people, he didn't dare to really do anything to them.
After all, there's a strict rule that talent warriors cannot attack ordinary people recklessly.
"This big brother, I didn't know this supermarket is your family's. If I had known, even if you gave me ten times the courage, I wouldn't dare to make trouble in your store," said one of the men with green-dyed hair, speaking urgently.
Talent warriors, even if they killed them, would only be captured by the Federation and forced to serve at the most dangerous border stations for three years.
"You have seriously affected our business, so just pay one million as compensation," Chu Tian said, and the three men's faces turned dark instantly.
Clearly, they didn't have a million on them.
"Big brother, even if you sold us, we wouldn't be worth a million," said the blond-haired man, enduring the pain in his hand.
For mercenaries, earning money might be quick, but for ordinary residents, a million was a significant amount.
"All three of us together have only about half a million. Big brother, we'll give you all our money, just let us go," another long-haired man quickly added.
Chu Tian smiled slightly and nodded.
The three men hurriedly transferred all their money into the supermarket's cash register.
After paying, the three men didn't wait for Chu Tian to speak and ran away.
The onlookers cheered at the sight of the three fleeing figures.
"Good job, Captain Chu," a teenager, apparently a middle school student, called out in admiration.
Chu Tian smiled faint
