A week had passed since Kylie's arrival at Amanda's place. She got another call of duty and had to leave. Even so, Amanda was very happy that she had a friend to talk to while Kylie was at her house.
The two hugged each other because they didn't know when they would see each other again.
"I'm glad you came, Kylie. Take care in your work." Amanda said.
"Yes, you too. I hope we can meet again soon. If you need someone to call, give me a call. My phone is always open for you."
"Thank you, Kylie. I really appreciate it."
Kylie smiled and got into the taxi she had booked to go to the airport. Amanda had to prepare to go to the headquarters, it had been a week but there was no news about her new partner, so she was still working with William on a small mission that was not too heavy.
That morning Amanda's stomach felt so bad, she felt dizzy and also nauseous. But she couldn't understand what was wrong with her, she didn't feel like she had eaten anything strange that day or the last few days.
"I hope this doesn't affect my work today."
Without thinking too much about it, Amanda went to change her clothes and then rode the motorcycle to her work base.
There were a lot of agents passing by the headquarters, which made Amanda feel a little dizzy. She didn't know what was happening, but the dizziness she had been feeling since she got home was getting more and more painful.
"Wooo... Be careful, Agent A29. Are you okay?" said one of the agents who caught Amanda's arm because she was about to fall.
"Ahh... Agent G1, sorry about that. I'm fine, just a little dizzy." Amanda replied trying to stand up straight.
"Your face is a bit pale, let me help you to your room..." said the man leading Amanda to her room.
There were many agents working in the organization. But there were only a few agents who carried out missions outside the headquarters and were well known by many agents, one of them was Amanda and William. Agent A29 and Agent W31.
Upon arriving at the door, Amanda thanked her fellow agent. The man asked Amanda to be more careful. As a senior, he gave Amanda some advice not to overexert herself if she was sick.
"Okay, thank you for your advice. Thank you also for bringing me here, Agent G1."
The man nodded and left. She opened the door and walked into her room. Inside, William was already busy with his computer.
Amanda sat on the coach and leaned back, her body felt so weak and the nausea in her stomach was getting worse.
"Amanda, we haven't heard anything from the boss today... What do you think?" When William turned his chair around, he did not find Amanda on the sofa where she should have been sitting. "Amanda??"
"Urrghh!!!" Amanda's voice came from inside the open bathroom. William rushed over to his partner and saw Amanda sitting on the floor trying to get something out of her mouth in front of the toilet.
"Amanda? Are you okay?"
"Yes... I'm fi-- Urrrghhh--" she spit something out of her mouth again. I don't know what happened to her, but the nausea was unbearable.
William approached Amanda and rubbed her back. He even tied Amanda's hair so it wouldn't block her face. "Did you eat something weird?"
"No... I didn't eat anything weird..."
"Should I take you to the hospital? There might be something. You could have poisoned something."
Amanda shook her head, refusing to go to the hospital. She felt only temporarily nauseous, maybe she would feel better later. William made some hot tea for Amanda to make her feel better.
After finishing her throw up, although still feeling very nauseous, Amanda sat back on the coach and drank the tea that had been made for her.
"If you're sick, you might as well stay home. We haven't gotten another mission yet anyway. It's unusual that the boss doesn't give us long-term missions like he usually does." William said in surprise.
This can happen because of Amanda's request to change her partner. So when they worked on a short mission, Amanda could quickly get another partner.
"I... I don't know. Hufft..." Feeling weak, she lay down on the sofa. Trying to gather her energy again that had been drained because of the overwhelming nausea.
"Do you want me to buy you something? Maybe your favorite yogurt? Oh... How about some nausea medicine? I'll go out and buy it for you." William got up from his chair and walked out of the room leaving Amanda behind.
The woman could only sigh, although she was happy that William was paying attention to her, but all that would not last long. They were going to go their separate ways after this and it was better that way.
Amanda opened her phone and searched the internet for the symptoms she was feeling. Nausea, weakness and dizziness, maybe she could figure out a little bit of what was happening to her at that moment.
When the search was over, Amanda's eyes widened at the results. Of all the health websites she came across, all of them wrote that the symptoms Amanda was feeling were early pregnancy symptoms.
"Symptoms of... Pregnancy? I'm... Pregnant?" she mumbled in disbelief.
Amanda reflexively sat up, she tried to find other answers that she might be able to get. However, all the results were the same, it signaled pregnancy symptoms.
She tried to find any other answer she could possibly get. However, all the results were the same, it signaled pregnancy symptoms.
Amanda, still in disbelief, went straight out of her room to the hospital. Although she felt so weak, she wanted to know the real answer.
Riding her motorcycle, Amanda drove to a large hospital in the middle of the city. She went to the gynecologist to find out if she was pregnant or not.
After checking, Amanda was asked to wait two hours for the results to come out. She sat in the hospital waiting room to find out the results.
"Why do I have to do this? Everything on the internet doesn't mean it can be trusted. I'm just overreacting or something..." Amanda bowed her head, she had no idea what the results would be.
If she wasn't pregnant, it meant she just had food poisoning. But if she was really pregnant...
Amanda touched her own stomach. That's... William's child.
All this time, Amanda had only had sex with William. Moreover, it happened almost two weeks ago. Since then she had never been in contact with anyone else.
In the midst of her confusion, she suddenly got a call from William. She immediately picked up the phone.
"Amanda? Where are you? I just came back to get you some medicine, you've disappeared."
"Oh... Sorry, Willy. I went out in a hurry to... take care of some things, that's why I didn't have time to wait for you to come back," she replied making excuses.
"You're sick, you shouldn't have gone out so carelessly."
While chatting on the phone, Amanda heard the nurse calling her. Amanda immediately hung up the phone and approached the nurse who gave her the results of the pregnancy test she had taken earlier.
A feeling of doubt began to envelop Amanda, she was afraid of the results she would get.
What if she was really pregnant?
What would she tell William?
She didn't know, she even doubted William would believe it was his child. Amanda slowly opened the envelope containing the test results and read them.
Her mouth trembled as she read the results which showed that she was positively pregnant.
"I'm... Pregnant."
