Chapter 1 - CORONATION DAY.

Tyler's POV

I couldn't help but stare at my father's picture and wonder where everything went wrong. Everything is moving so fast that I barely have time to breathe. I don't even know if I can handle it. But I have no choice. This was my fate, to lead.

My father, the alpha just passed away and today is my coronation as the alpha red dawn pack. I didn't see the need for a coronation since obviously, this is my right by birth but this is tradition. Even in the modern age the wolves still follow their customs.

I want to live up to my father's legacy. He was called "the strongest alpha of all time." He led with a lot of might and power. He handled the pack so well and was respected by all the packs in Australia. Even though strength isn't my thing, my father trained me well from a young age and I know I can handle the pack as well as him.

I heard a knock on the door and my mother, the Luna of Red Dawn Pack came in.

"Dear, it is time." She told me. I looked at her and sighed and stared at the portrait. She came forward and stood beside me.

"He would have been so happy to see you today. This was his dream." She said in a low tune. "He always wanted to see your coronation day," she said and a tear dropped from her eyes.

I held her shoulder and pulled her into my embrace. My father's death affected my mother the most. I didn't say anything. I must let her shed a few tears like she always does.

"Okay," she said and wiped the tears from her eyes, "It is time. Let's go." She said with excitement and put her hands my mine, "Let's show the pack their new alpha." she said to me with a smile that made me chuckle. I followed after Mother, ready for the ritual. I turned around and looked at the portrait one more time.

"I will make you proud father," I whispered and left.

The ritual took place under the moonlight. All the elders, their sons, and some members of the pack were present.

There was already a fire burning as they waited for my arrival. The eldest man asked me to step forward and he slit my palm and put the blood in a bowl. He did the same with the elders and their sons. They all healed immediately and they swore their loyalty to their new alpha.
