Hermione's eyes rested on the heap of clothes she had drawn from the cupboard, including some other necessities that she'd be needing when journeying.
She swiftly wrapped the stuff altogether all by herself, into a sack for easy transporting.
She breathed heavily as she sat on the bed.
Was she truly doing the right thing?
Should she have ignored Alice's warning and stayed here in the castle for Lloyd's return?
What if Lloyd wasn't coming back?
That seemed impossible because he always came back to his chamber.
Hermione used the opportunity to wait for him one last time behind closed doors.
If truly he cared for her, he would arrive in time to stop her from leaving, and then she'd be able to strategize her plans regarding her dead handmaiden.
But if he didn't show up, she would have to leave.
It wasn't possible to have the intention of avenging her hand-maiden if she wasn't safe herself.
