Hermione's heart ached in her chest. Everyone had left the scene, excluding her. She stood, rooted in her position with eyes fixated on her handmaiden, Lulu.
She hadn't thought that she loved this woman so dearly until now.
Tears prickled her eyes.
Hermione reached for her chest which hurt with an immense pain she had never felt before.
She closed her eyes. Her face contorted in absolute hurt.
Lulu had always been there for her. She had always looked after her in this strange world where everyone seemed to not like her company.
Her hand-maiden had been there to coax her whenever things went awry. Her comforting hug, smile, touch... It was all gone.
Lulu didn't hurt anyone.
Why did they have to hurt her like this? Hermione pondered inwardly as she took another glance at her handmaiden who was already a corpse, serving as guest to flies which were roaming around her face.
