The dining hall was plunged into an overwhelming quietness after Hermione had spoken. The people gazed at her unbelievably. One, because she didn't stutter and two, it was very unusual for Lloyd to behave in such a way. All of them knew he never revealed his affection to anyone, not publicly anyway.
Damien's lips curled into a subtle smile. His hazel eyes wandered from the woman he was obsessed with, then to his brother who hadn't uttered a word yet.
He watched their entwined hands with a sardonic smile.
He seemed eager to separate them.
"Did he? Hermione darling?" He inquired with a tilt of his head.
Hermione's eyes narrowed at him. Her face twisted to a scowl at the endearment he had used. Wanting to rub it in his face, she bobbed her head at him.
She watched him close his parted lips. His jaw clenched afterward.
