Lloyd sat on the edge of the table, with arms folded as he watched Hermione with curious eyes. He wasn't sure she should be grieving a lot over the dead fish. Certainly, it would render her heartbroken but she ought to get over it quickly.
Sinclair had done many horrible things, worse than killing a mere golden fish.
Lloyd's head tilted. "You weren't planning to sell it, right?" He inquired.
She glanced at him.
He continued, "I know for a fact that plenty would kill to get a goldfish in their possession. Is that the reason you were so attached?"
Hermione narrowed her eyes. She held Pearl gently, placing the rabbit on her other side. She then sat up on the bed, leaning against the headboard.
"I'm...n-not sure w-what you think, b-but I never planned to sell or eat it, I-I only wanted another friend" She sniffled once again.
