"Unfortunately, I never had done any conditioning in my body other than my knuckles." He chuckles as he kills another genetic lifeform; he no longer targeted Advanced Grade ones and left them for the alliance to deal with.
His eyes are now set on just supernatural ones; suddenly, he freezes, laughs out loud, and checks his new soul blessing.
[Soul Blessing: Chimaera]
Name: None
Type: Mutant Pet
Grade: Supernatural [fake; can be upgraded by fusing more bloodlines; the higher the bloodline grade, the stronger the user]
Level: Supernatural (Boundary)
Speciality: Mutation (Gemstone of Life) (the ability to absorb the bloodline of beasts and evolve through mutation of the bloodline.)
State: Awakened
Ability: Chimaera Body (through mutation and fusion of different bloodlines, obtains a body that incorporates the character of the bloodlines.)
Ability 2: Intelligence (gain increased intelligence)
Ability 3 (Semi-Sealed): Adaption (Using the power of the bloodlines, obtains the ability to adapt at any attack.)
(Locked) Ability 4: Beast King (Using the power of multiple bloodlines, gains control and allegiance of other genetic lifeforms with bloodlines lower than the host.)
(Locked) Ability 5: Bloodline Creation (Can create lifeforms carrying the bloodlines that the host carries; all lifeforms are loyal to the host.)
Yes, it was the mutant lifeform that he had killed; after killing it, he failed to obtain its soul blessing, disappointing him.
Finally, after absorbing the soul powers of multiple supernaturals, the system managed to complete its soul blessing; fortunately, its willpower was strong enough to hold on.
Summoning it, he was startled to find that it no longer looked the same; it now looked like a simple beast without its bull horn or humanoid gorilla body.
[The host does not need to worry; the Chimaera is able to evolve by absorbing the bloodlines of easts. Before, i it was only able to absorb and assimilate bloodlines that were of lower grade, but now that it has fused with the host, its former traits are now strengthened by the Gemstone of Life.]
"That is great! Come with me; let us grow stronger together." He patted the shoulder of his new pet; he decided to name it after seeing it transform through mutation.
The two travel the battlefield, killing all the lifeforms that tried to attack them. They are specifically looking for lifeforms that have unique features.
"Finally!" Cleo shouted as he looked at an advanced-grade lifeform that was fighting against his group, the Miracle Group.
He had chosen this as his target because of its unique feature and its strength, which is borderline supernatural. It is definitely the perfect specimen to add to his new pet's body.
A beast with eyes that gleam with a scarlet red colour, its arms are covered with metal scales that would glow, radiating intense heat from time to time.
The Chimaera behind him was riled up after seeing it. Seeing this, he laughed out loud and shouted at his group.
"Leave this thing to my new pet; go help the others! Do not worry! Our victory is nigh!" The expression of the Miracle Group eases up, and all of them shout at the top of their lungs before running to help the other warriors that are currently struggling due to injury and exhaustion.
BAM! Even without its former body parts, leaving only a regular beast body, the Chimaera is still strong; the difference between an Advanced Grade and Supernatural Grade lifeform is just too big.
The two fight each other with such intensity that it looks almost as if they are equal, but actually, they are not. The scarlet-eyed lifeform was actually a disadvantage.
Its eyes are quite good; they are able to perceive motion clearer and faster than normal eyes, including it's hands that can heat up. It is quite a powerful lifeform, and it also has scales that can take on blows from a supernatural lifeform.
The only unfortunate thing is that its scales only exist on its hands, and the rest of its body is just protected by thick muscles. In terms of strength, it is one of the strongest lifeforms in the Advanced Grade. Too bad, it was fighting a supernatural lifeform.
The Chimaera is no crazed beast; it has intelligence, and its body is quite tough. At first, it still suffered from the iron hands of its enemy, but after fighting against it, surprisingly, it was adapting at incredible speed.
'Hmm, unfortunately, without enough bloodline, his third ability is unable to show its strength; no wonder it is semi-sealed; without the power of the Gemstone of Life, he would have a harder time assimilating bloodlines and mutating.' Cleo analysed his new pet's movements and traits.
'No wonder to think that the reason why it was able to take so much blow from me was actually because its body had managed to adapt, and together with the combined regeneration of multiple bloodlines, he is truly a worthy pet.'
BAM! BAM! BAM! The Chimaera was now able to run circles against its current opponent; it memorised its attack pattern, and together with its slow speed, it was unable to contend against it.
Unfortunately for him, he no longer has its horns or its extremely thick gorrila arm; it has no killing weapons on its body but its teeth.
"You are wasting too much time; I am going to make a move," Cleo shouted before running towards the scarlet-eyed lifeform.
It tried to attack him, but even if it can see his movements, it's body is not fast enough to capture him. He sharpens his hand and stabs it in one of its eyes, causing it to cry in pain. Before it can recover, a powerful blow hits its chest, killing it.
"No wonder I do not see much of your kind; without your mutations, your kind are definitely the weakest Supernatural Grade lifeform," he stated before throwing him the corpse.
The Chimaera does not care about his mocking statement because it is true; their kind are born as supernatural-grade lifeforms, but because they are too weak without any bloodlines, they are considered one of the treasures for evolution by their own race.
That is why even after becoming a soul blessing with its memories intact, it does not care about it and decided to continue what it does best, which is to survive. The system does not even need to reprogram it, and it's already fiercely loyal to Cleo.
ROAR! He lets out a loud roar as it's body starts to change; it is already used to this type of pain. Every time their kind mutate, they would undergo this baptism, and only those that have strong willpower would succeed. The more bloodlines they have, the greater the pain.
Suddenly, it lets out a confused whimper as the pain that should last for a certain period of time disappears, leaving it completely bewildered.
"Hahaha! Do not be confused; this is just one of the advantages that you now have after becoming my pet." Cleo parted with him once again. The Chimaera understood what he meant after the system translated his words, and it became ecstatic.
Mutation is what gives their kind strength, but during the process, they would be helpless, and the explosion of vitality during their mutation would attract numerous angry genetic lifeforms to take advantage of them.
"You have Scarlet eyes and scaled feet; hmm, I cannot call you Scarlet because I know a person with that name, and she will probably hate me if I name you after her last name. I cannot call you Scales either because your foundation is still that of a beast." Cleo starts thinking of names that he should give to his new pet.
"How about I call you Evol since your mutation is very similar to that of an evolution?" Finally, he decided on the name, and the two of them continued to search for suitable targets.
The war continues to rage on, but now that the human side is slowly gaining the victory, the number of warriors on their side might be dwindling, but with the existence of a monster that does not know exhaustion, the side of the genetic lifeforms is slowly dwindling as the number of deaths on their side is only continuing to increase.
After an hour passes by, the side of the genetic lifeform is finally retreating; they are unable to hold on, and it seems that the creature commanding the tide finally realises that they are fighting a losing battle and has finally accepted their defeat.
The teachers and everyone that participated in this battle cheered as they created a miracle; they are in a state of happiness after experiencing such a battle.
Cleo looks at the retreating tide of lifeforms and cannot help but think.
'We will meet again, but at that time, I am no longer an insect that you can easily crush.'
He is determined to hunt the thing commanding the tide of lifeforms; as long as that thing exists, their stronghold will always be in danger of being destroyed.
