He raises his hand high, clenching his fist as the veins on his muscle bulge. He roars and punches the ground beneath him, causing a loud explosion.
Dust and dirt fly everywhere; using this as his camouflage, he attacks the hulking lifeform. Since the mutant is a bit tougher to kill, he decided to finish it off first before the entity behind the strange move makes a move again.
BAM! Something hits him in the stomach, causing him to groan. He was slapped away. He is surprised by this. The attack is actually quite sharp, managing to pierce through his thick muscles.
'A tail, I am quite sure that the thing that hit me was a tail.' This is what is on his mind as he searches for the thing responsible for the attack.
'There! ' With his focus heightened and without the distraction of the two humanoid lifeforms, he instantly senses the difference in the airflow in a certain spot.
BAM! His knees hit nothing, but he finally discovered his enemy. A lizard jumps away from his attack, showing itself. It looks like a gecko but is the size of a crocodile and has a gemstone on its forehead.
"To think that I would meet something like your species on this battlefield," he says in surprise.
This lizard is no ordinary genetic lifeform; similar to sword slaves, they are one of the genetic liforms sought after by genetic warriors. If one is lucky enough to obtain their soul blessings, then one can train their psychic energy much easier. They are called Psychzards, and they are much more difficult to kill compared to sword slaves.
"No wonder, that thing that sealed my movement was your psychic energy." The Psychzard escapes; he chases after it; unfortunately, the mutant lifeform appears and blocks his path.
The Psychzard looks at him and blends into the surroundings; this is what makes them hard to kill—their ability to blend into their surroundings, virtually becoming invisible—and, at the same time, their cowardly nature.
"One has already appeared; I am sure that there are a couple of others present in the area." After analysing the information regarding their race, he concluded that they are ambush-type lifeforms that work well with each other, often a family that fights together in order to ensnare as many prey as they can.
Their tails can transform into reapers when they use them for attacks; their teeth contain venom that can instantly kill Advanced Grade lifeforms; their claws are coated with paralysing liquid; and their instantaneous burst of speed is comparable to agility-type lifeforms.
BAM! BAM! BAM! Cleo curses inwardly as he dodges three attacks from his invisible enemies; if not for his absurd senses that he obtained from filling his genetic enhancement, those attacks would have hit him directly.
Poisons and venoms might not be harmful for him, but they are still a pain in the neck that will dissolve once they enter his body.
He redirects the simultaneous attacks of the two humanoid lifeforms; they are stunned as they are thrown to the ground.
'What the hell was that?! ' He surprised himself; he quickly retreats, but the sensation of throwing the two humanoid lifeforms down to the ground with a gentle method continues to flash in his mind.
"A true martial artist should be able to fight against beings that he cannot see!" He shouts to himself. Now that he has experience using the gentle method, he decided to create another martial art, but this time a domain-type technique.
'Focus! Sync your breathing! Feel everything around you! Master the elements around you!' As this mantra continues to repeat in his mind, he exhales a deep breath containing many of his impurities.
Raising his right hand above his head and his left hand to his stomach as he lowers his centre of gravity, he becomes an immovable fortress.
The mutant lifeform's beastly instinct tells it that there is danger, but the hulking lifeform does not have the same instinct and charges towards Cleo without regard for its wellbeing.
BAM! A counter hits it in its stomach. Cleo's eyes are still unfocused and lazy, but his brain and senses are actually in total focus on everything around them.
His heart starts beating in a rhythmic manner, and unconsciously he hits the side of the hulking lifeform, causing it to roar in pain. It's core was hit, and he seems to have developed the ability to hit his targets' weak points in his unconscious state.
BAM! BAM! BAM! Hit after hit, he accurately targeted the location of the moving core, causing it to crack. The mutant lifeform has to charge after its comrade after sensing its dwindling life force.
It did not attack Cleo but just grabbed its teammate, but unfortunately for it, the area around them is its opponent's territory as multiple attacks fly towards it.
It used its toughness to tank all the attacks, but it was futile as the attacks were able to hit spots in its body that had the weakest defence.
Cleo stops his onslaught and gently waves his hand. A loud thud can be heard as two Psychzards slammed at each other.
Before they can recover, he stomps one of them and burys the head of the other with a smash. The mutant lifeform throws the hulking lifeform away and charges towards him.
When it throws a punch, he redirects its attack and throws it to the ground. As it lays flat on the ground, it feels a powerful impact reverberating throughout its body.
BAM! He follows his throw with a stomp, cracking the ground beneath the head of the mutant lifeform. He punches the air, causing a dull thud once again, as the appearance of the third Psychzard appears.
The Psychzards cannot believe that he was easily dealing with them; they wreaked havoc throughout the battlefield, killing multiple genetic warriors in just a short amount of time. This made them think that dealing with him would be easy too.
BAM! BAM! BAM! They were blown away by three seemingly invisible attacks; blood seeped out of their mouths. He was not finished yet, but seeing that their invisibility had been cancelled, he could finally hit them.
His breathing and stance change; if the earlier exudes the same sensation as a fortress, his current stance exudes aggressiveness, like a unified army charging with their spears pointed at the front.
This is a technique that he developed himself: a continuous attack until his body and mind can no longer hold on—a continuous attack that causes him to halt his breath and focus everything on just attacks.
BAM! First a punch, followed by a roundhouse kick, then a sweeping kick, combination after combination of different attacks were released as the sound of flesh getting hit rings around him.
The Psychzards are being drowned by attacks; they are struggling to defend themselves; they are no longer thinking of attacking as each careless move on their side is met by a counter-attack that dishes out double damage compared to the other attacks; and all of them are also targeted in their vital points.
BAM! One of them was hit in the stomach, causing it to puke blood, but this movement causes it to be defenceless; a spear's hand pierces through its eyes, boring through its head.
Cleo then slaps its head, causing it to collide with its comrade as the blood from its head splashes into it, causing it to be blinded.
An elbow hits it on its chin; he follows it with a palm on its throat; and he kicks the remaining Psychzard's toes in order to prevent it from escaping.
Hugging its body, he smashes the last one into the blinded one before grabbing the other one's tail and stabbing it to the one-eyed one's injured eye.
He jumps and smashes his hand on the tail, boring it deeper into the skull. Even though the injury's already fatal, he needs to make sure that it is thoroughly dead. He follows his smashing fist with a descending kick from above.
Blood flies everywhere. The owner of the tail, realising that its body part was used to kill its comrade, is enraged, but before it can react further, a flying kick hits its head.
Using the body of the Psychzard that he had kicked as a support, Cleo sweep-kicks the blinded one; he then kicks the last one in the neck before grabbing the hand of the blinded one and shoving it to the last one's mouth.
He then uppercats it, causing it to bite the hand. The blinded one, not realising that it was his comrade's bite, lets out a loud roar of pain and scratches the mouth of his comrade.
Blood sipped out of the mouth, but the last one was unable to spit out the hand as Cleo continued to punch its mouth and nose, causing its mouth to be shut and having its teeth dig deeper into the hand of its comrade.
