Chapter 8 - CHAPTER 114 THE TEST

Everyone turns to each other, still confused as to why their commander was talking about the younger sister of the Diamond family.

"The Diamond Family is now in a trade partnership with the Oriend Family; specifically, the younger sister of Lady Diamond is trading her pet type Soul Blessings with other types of Soul Blessings with the same grade." Everyone inside the room was stunned.

No one would agree to such an unfavourable trade; even little children would not accept such terms because of just how unfair it is to the other trader.

"Yes, I know, it sounds very foolish, but the person who proposed this trade was none other than Lord Miracle Child. According to the information that I gathered, the two met when both Lord Miracle Child and Sir Immortal were still struggling against normal lifeforms.

Everyone was stunned; they did not expect that the Diamond Family would be so lucky that they not only obtained a favourable trade, but they also made friends with a righteous but abnormal genetic lifeform.

"This is the reason why I think those rumours regarding the younger sister of Lady Diamond being a lucky charm are no longer just baseless rumours," she exhales after sharing everything that she knows.

"Commander, since Lord Miracle Child likes pet-type Soul Blessing so much, shouldn't we also offer the same trade agreement with him?" One of the strategists asks excitedly.

PAK! A loud slap was heard as the main strategist slapped his subordinate after his suggestion. He sighs and shakes his head with a disappointed expression.

"We are still allied with the Diamond Family; do you really think that a merchant family would let others try to take such a favourable trade with them!? What you are suggesting will only cause discord with our ally!? We are currently not in the right condition to do that!" He roars as he slams his fist on the table.

One of the generals who is not afraid asks.

"Then, we should just inform the Diamond Family that we are not taking their business away from them; we just want to increase our relationship with the Oriend Family."

Surprisingly, it was Ersha who answered him.

"That is still unacceptable for them; the only person involved in the trade is actually Lord Miracle Child, not the Oriend Family; he is the only partner, and do you really think that he can supply the demand of two powers? Even if we decide to lower our demand, this will still take income from the Diamond Family, who are known for their money-grubbing personalities."

Everyone can only sigh in disappointment, realising that they cannot dip their hands into such a golden opportunity.

"Commander, we are focusing too much on Lord Miracle Child; I think that it is better if we devise a way to become acquaintances with or, much preferably, become friends with Lady Diamond's little sister." As the main strategist said this, everyone inside the room was stunned once again, but they quickly agreed that this was the right choice.

"Commander, what is the title given to Lady Diamond's little sister?" Since the situation in the realm becomes dire, in order to protect the identities of those who have no background, it was unanimously decided to have the genetic warriors use titles to call each other. There are two ways to be given a title: self-given, which is not accepted by the majority, and well-known public-given titles.

Miracle Child and Immortal were given to Cleo and Leon by the warriors of the Oriend Family, but other than some minorities, most genetic warriors agree with these two titles, especially the latter one.

There are also two given titles brought by strength; the first one was a name given to the genetic warriors, but the second one was assigned with strength in mind.

The titles sir and madam are given to advanced warriors, while lord and lady are given to supernatural warriors. For normal warriors, they are considered too weak to be given any additional title; in fact, giving them a named title is already considered absurd and a waste.

"I am not informed about her title; her strength might be considered strong, but she is not proficient in maximising it; she is just too inexperienced and protected by her older sister, but since it is already confirmed that she brings extreme luck, I think that it is also a good choice to protect her rather than let her endanger her life." Ersha states, and everyone nods their heads in agreement.

Meanwhile, inside the Diamond Family camp, the higher-ups of the family are now arguing with Chrystal. Their argument revolves around her little sister; each division wants her to be a member of their group, and neither of them is backing down.

"No! I am her uncle and have more people to protect her! Her safety is much better in my division!" Roars an old man.

"You wish! What would she feel with old fools? She will be happier in my division full of people at the same age as her!" Counters a handsome man.

Hmph! "I think all of you forget that I am her older sister, and she always follows my orders! Do you really think that she would accept any of you!?" Chrystal snorts.

"Niece, I would agree with you if not for the fact that your division is the busiest group in our family; not only that, you know just how dangerous your missions are," says one of the older females in the room.

If it were in the past, they would not care about Pearl, but after the discovery of her "Luck," she becomes a hot commodity for everyone. All of this is because of two people, Cleo and Leon.

Back at the Oriend Family camp, the supernatural warriors are now discussing their plan for attack. They learned their lesson from their battle against the Blue Rage Monkey Tribe; they lost multiple people that day, and they do not want to suffer another defeat.

"This time, we should assign at least one supernatural warrior to the secondary group, and we should add some elite advanced warriors to the main group," proposes Flare, which was agreed upon by everyone inside the room.

"Where is Cleo? As a supernatural warrior, he should be present in this meeting!" States one of the supernatural warriors. She sounds strict; she does not dislike Cleo, but she is just too strict in following social hierarchy.

Margaret shakes her head and sighs.

"Even after obtaining the strength comparable to that of a supernatural lifeform, he still does not regard himself as a supernatural warrior; his reason is that he does not have a supernatural-grade soul blessing."

Everyone's expression turns strange; they cannot believe that he would think this way considering that he is not even the weakest in their group, which causes those at lower ranks to become ashamed.

"Just let him be; his presence is considered a beacon of hope for our warriors, and I think that it is better for him to socialise with them," Bob states.

Flare shakes her head.

"No, I think that he should be present in this room. He might not be the best strategist in our family, but his intelligence and way of thinking are extraordinary."

Everyone frowns; it is because of Cleo's personality that they are unable to control his actions, especially since he is required to fight every single day at multiple fronts because of the extreme exhaustion that their warriors were experiencing a couple of days ago.

"It is okay; do not worry, Flare. Just like our battle against the Blue Rage Monkey Tribe, he would definitely meet up with the main group after confirming that there is no longer a major threat in the secondary group." Bob waves his hand lazily.

Flare can only accept his lazy explanation, knowing that Cleo does not conform to what normal people think.

Inside the camp, there is a long line of warriors waiting to be assessed.

"Okay, pick a paper inside the box, and we are going to assess you," says a guard wearing bright red armour.

"Are you certain that everyone here meets the basic criteria for my team?" Cleo asks as he looks at the excited warriors in front of him.

"Yes, young master, but if you want to ask about the special chosen ones, they are there." Elcio points in a certain direction.

"Start the assessment; for the special chosen ones, I am going to personally assess them." He nods his head as Leon faces off against ten advanced warriors at the same time.

There are a couple of warriors being tested by the flare guards, but it was a one-on-one battle, making it fair, but even with their advantage in number, the warriors facing Leon want to switch the warriors fighting against the flare guards.

"I do not care about you babies, but I cannot embarrass myself in front of Lord Miracle Child! If you are not useful and I fail this test, I will be coming for your asses!" Roars a rather rough-looking warrior.

"Back at you!" chortled another warrior.

"Everyone, I am good at throwing daggers; just hold Sir Immortal for a certain amount of time."

"F*ck you! Do you really think that is possible!?"

Seeing that they are starting to fight amongst themselves, Cleo can only raise his hand to silence them.

"I am not telling you guys to defeat my friend; only survive for half an hour without being completely wiped out. If at least one of you is still standing, I will accept all of you."
