"Man, for you guys to do this, you are kind of making me blush." Hearing this, the guards start laughing; they all feel close to each other as all of them fought in life and death side by side with each other.
"Please let me escort you inside, young master Cleo!" shouts one of the guards with an excited expression.
"No! Pick me!" Roars another.
"I am much better! My voice is louder!" Roars the largest guard present.
Cleo is confused as to why they are doing this, but not Elcio; he seems to have realised something and only smiles, not telling his young master.
"Well, if I were to pick one, then I pick him." He chooses the guard that was assigned to him by Flare during the battle against the Army Ant and Blue Rage Monkeys.
The guards accepted his choice but inwardly were cursing the guard that was chosen; they could not help but be jealous of him.
They know that he fought together with Cleo not only once but twice, and both of those battles are quite famous in the stronghold.
"Thank you, young master!" The guard was ecstatic; he repeatedly thanked Cleo, with his eyes shining with brightness. His reaction continues to only elude Cleo.
Suddenly, as they entered the base, the guard shouted at the top of his lungs.
"Young Master Cleo has entered!"
The busy base seems to pause; suddenly, cheers erupted, and all of the people that had participated in the battle against the Blue Rage Monkey Tribe started running towards the entrance.
All of them stare at Cleo with bright eyes, burning with passion. Cleo feels a shiver running down his spine; even with his courageous soul, he cannot help but feel scared right now.
Meanwhile, Elcio watches everything with an "as expected" expression; he predicts that this is going to happen after watching the reactions of the guards.
As the entire base is now buzzing with excitement, two individuals appear, causing the flocking warriors to part. The two individuals are none other than Flare and Margaret. The two are now full of smiles, seeing that he finally decided to return.
Margaret suddenly stops and frowns. She points at the figure beside her little brother and asks.
"Who is this? Is he that arrogant and obnoxious friend of yours?"
She meant the main character person that Cleo had thought about before; he had forgotten about this person, but thinking about the situation right now and the novels that he had read about, he predicted that they might meet on this battlefield.
"No, I think that you are thinking about Randalf; unfortunately, we had never met once again; it seems that he is quite busy right now," he explained, not telling the truth that he was avoiding the so-called main character of this world.
Margaret snorted.
"Good! I never liked that person anyway!"
Her reaction seems to have lit up something inside of Cleo's head, and he cannot help but have a headache. If he is not wrong, then his sister might be the cold beauty that will fall in love with the main character but will deny her true feelings.
Trying to dispel the headache he is now feeling, he decided to shift the topic from that person to another.
"This person besides me is my best friend and also one of the people that fought besides me during my operation against the Azure Berserk Monkeys."
"Titled "The Immortal," my buddy Leon."
The eyes of the warriors widen; even Flare was shocked by this. She quickly grabs Leon's hand and bows.
"I am grateful for your help! Our family owes you too much! I hope that you will let us repay the immense gratitude that we had for you!" She hurriedly conveyed her feelings. Just like she said, other than some minorities like Gangers, everyone is indebted to Leon.
"Oh my god! He is actually alive all of this time!" Screams one of the warriors present.
"Of course he is! He is The Immortal! He will never die! No matter what he is facing! Even if the odds are against him! He will definitely survive!" Roars one of them.
"The unlikable and unstoppable disabled warrior! Our idol!" roars an armed warrior with tears in his eyes.
"The Immortal!"
"The Immortal!"
"The Immortal!"
They start chanting: If Cleo was someone that they admire, then Leon is someone they worship; even with his disabilities, he has greater achievements compared to the majority of the warriors present.
"Wait! Doesn't this mean that the Insatiable Hound, the Immortal, and the Miracle Child are once again present!?" one of the warriors asked.
This question caused everyone to freeze. They quickly realised what he said was true. The three beings that seem to not know the word exhaustion are once again present, and they no longer need to worry about conserving their energy with such beings by their sides.
They all cheered as the realisation sinks in; even Flare realises this and shouts at the top of her lungs, affected by the blazingly passionate spirit of the warriors present.
"Your presence is practically godsent!" She quickly said, startling Margaret. She looked at her cousin with a confused expression.
Even Cleo was confused as to why her rather calm cousin was so worked up right now; he scratches his head as she watches her bounce around.
"Let us go to the meeting room! We are going to inform you about the rest!" Without waiting for him to say anything, she pulls him into a large tent. Leon follows the group together with the proud Elcio.
Elcio suddenly stops and looks at the guard that escorted them.
"Prepare. If I am not wrong, the young master will definitely ask for your group's participation once again."
The guard trembles, even with the loud noises in the area. He heard what Elcio said clearly, and a passionate flame rises inside of him. He bangs his chest plate and bows to him.
Inside the large tent, the other supernatural warriors are present. Bob sees Cleo and immediately starts laughing out loud; his solemn and gloomy expression disappears in an instant.
"D*mn! You are truly godsent!" Flare giggles after hearing this.
"That is what I said too," she quickly said.
"What do you two mean by he is godsent?" Margaret becomes more confused; if her cousin said this, this would just slip through her mind as she knows that she spoils her little brother just like her, but Bob is different.
He is neutral because he is a member of the direct bloodline and even the brother of their father; his age is not even that far apart from theirs. That is why he is not that keen to favour any geniuses, as he considers himself one too.
"You do not know?" Bob is confused but recalls that Margaret was not present during the first battle.
"Hahaha! You do not know, but your brother's talent is quite amazing!" Shouted one of the supernatural warriors.
Margaret frowns.
"I know what my little brother's talent is."
She snorts, disliking the fact that people regard her as an ignorant older sister.
"Big sister, I think that what they meant is my ability to fight without being exhausted." Margaret was surprised. In her memories, her little brother's talent is called overwork. This ability increases his overall combat prowess, but at the cost of his stamina.
"Big sister, I know that you know what my special talent is. In order to mitigate the weakness of my talent, I had to find another alternative, and one of them is training my unique dragon-tiger body tempering technique and receiving a special trait from my pet."
"I know about the dragon-tiger body tempering technique, but what is this about receiving a special trait from your pet?" She asks quietly, still heard by everyone in the tent.
Cleo summons Glutton; he smiles and rubs its head; it reacts intimately to his touch.
"My pet was obtained from a friend from the academy; she is a dark elf, and its awakening was quite strange as it obtained a treasure from one of the academy's forbidden grounds."
'One of the academy's forbidden grounds? ' The supernatural warriors frown; they actually wanted to obtain the same pet as Cleo, but it seems that it is impossible now.
"What forbidden ground was it?" Unlike most of the supernatural warriors present, Bob is still a student of the Mystique Academy, so he can enter the forbidden ground anytime he wants.
"The Nightmare Valley." Bob's eyes constrict; of course he knows this place; it is one of the forbidden grounds that both consists of hostile environments and creatures everywhere.
Elcio, who was fidgeting, wants to say something, but he is now in front of the higher-ups of the first realm, and everyone in this tent is considered a major powerhouse of their family.
"Oh? It seems that you want to say something worm." Granger sees his reaction and immediately tries to put him on the spot.
