"Other than the prestigious young abbot of the Golden Monk Race, which Ace did he befriend?" Margaret wants to know more about her little brother as he is becoming a mystery to her.
Cleo sighs, knowing that Elcio does not know every Ace that he is acquainted with.
"They are not my friends, yet, I guess, you can call us acquaintances: Lilith and the royal Succubus Race, ranked 99th in the academy, also more popularly known as the Heartbreak Devil."
"You made a friend with a royalty from the famous Succubus Race!?" Bob was stunned, as did the three girls; they know just how popular Lilith is; her fanclub is one of the largest organisations in the academy.
"Boss Yesha, our relationship is more of a business relationship than an intimate one; it seems that she values me because of how good I am at massaging. Oh, right! I forgot, you guys do not know her; she is the manager of the massage parlour, ranking at 86th in the academy; she is well known for her nerve-striking technique; she is a high-ranking member of an ancient hidden sect." The people in the dining room are now in a total daze; they are becoming more numb from the people that they are friends with or at least acquainted with.
"Indifference, also a member of the Golden Monk Race, more well known as the Stone Heart Monk, is ranking at 94th in the academy; I became acquainted with her because of my friendship with my brother Pure." The rest is no longer surprised by this, especially since she is a member of the Golden Monk Race.
"Finally, Marcy, but I do not think our relationship is that close; we only met once when we were trading with Lilith; I do not know much of her, but she ranks 90th in the academy."
The people inside the room digest the shocking information that he had shared with them. They know that personally knowing an Ace is already considered a blessing and an advantage, but for Cleo to befriend one of them and even become acquainted with some of them, they are now starting to see a pattern.
"In fact, the young master's has many ranker friends, and the majority of them are either Silver Rankers or above; most of them are members of the Golden Monk Race," Elcio added, raising his head with pride. For him, the greater the reputation of his young master, the greater his status.
"I am not surprised; after all, their future leader is friends with their little brother. I think that they are trying to cosy up with him because of this," Margaret calmly speculated.
Elcio shakes his head.
"That is not the case. First, young Miss, they are close with young Master because of a certain event. I do not know what it is, but that is what I heard."
Bob nods his head.
"I agree with him, niece; you might not know this because you had no interaction with the golden monks, but they are quite proud; they might not be as stuck-up as the dragons, but they still are a proud superior race."
Cleo looks at his uncle interestedly; it seems that he knows some things that they don't.
"The golden monks respect their abbots very much; that is true, but this does not mean that they will forget their pride and try to curry a favour from someone from our clan, especially, I mean, no disrespect, but someone like a nephew here." Bob looks at Cleo, confirming if his words are true.
Cleo nods his head.
"That is true; only after hanging out with them did we become close. They might not be rude towards me, but in the early days, they were dismissive towards me."
"Hahaha! Your charisma is truly amazing. The golden monks might not look down on our race, as humans are considered inferior in their eyes, but they are quite proud of those that they consider weaklings." Bob laughs out loud.
"Finish!" Cleo burps. He had been sidetracked by their conversation, but he still finished his food. The servants are looking at him like some kind of monster. The amount of food that he had eaten was truly too much for even a supernatural warrior.
"Are we going back to the first realm, young master?" Hesitantly asks Elcio.
Cleo shakes his head.
"There is a powerful being waiting for me there; unless I am certain that our stronghold is capable of withstanding the invasion, I am going to use this time to recover."
Bob agrees with him.
"Even though it is costly, I will have my men transport the carcass of the Azure Berserk Monkey here; hopefully, you can gain at least a supernatural gene from it."
It seems that he had agreed with the split distribution that Cleo had proposed to him earlier.
"Are you sure that you can take a supernatural gene and withstand it's enhancement?" Flare is still worried at him; she knows just how powerful a supernatural gene enhancement is; in fact, the first time she experienced it's baptism, she nearly failed to endure.
"Hahaha, you should not worry, big sis Flare; I have mastered my technique to its limit, and you should know that the dragon-tiger body tempering technique is a supernatural-grade technique; I can easily refine the energy from the enhancement." He also plans to return to the first realm if he is successful in obtaining at least one gene.
He should use his injury to stay out of the big battles and focus more on obtaining normal and advanced gene enhancement. Besides, with the new pets that he has obtained from Margaret, he can use them to increase his strength.
With nothing else to do other than rest, he spends his time researching different types of genetic lifeforms. He is more interested in special or unique lifeforms that give rare types of soul blessings, so he can let Leon and himself equip them.
