"Hmm, Eclipshea, what are the sanctuaries written in the news?" He is confused as to why this information seems to be incredibly important.
"Sanctuaries are what the people in the second realm call the stronghold that they have created; the survival rate of the outsiders in the second realm is much lower compared to the first realm, which is why any place that has survived for at least a decade is called a sanctuary."
Hearing this, he is quite surprised; it seems that he had been underestimating the danger that the second realm possesses.
"I know that this news is important, but I am still in the first realm. Eclipshea filters the news and only shows information regarding the first realm."
Reading the information presented to him, he was greatly shocked. Multiple strongholds were attacked by beast waves; the genetic creatures seem to have become active as of late; and even the supernatural-grade ones are attacking together.
They are known for being solitary or territorial, and yet, when multiple waves include them in the attack, it is as if they are being controlled by a much stronger entity.
"Unfortunately, it seems that my plan has to change; the upside is that with the beast wave, Leon can now improve at a much faster rate and Glutton can eat as much as he wants!" This might be a threat for most genetic warriors but is actually an opportunity for him.
"Call Elcio for me; no, scratch that. I want you to inform him to prepare for our return to the Realm of the Thousand Worlds; we are going to participate in the defence of our stronghold!"
Eclipshea sends the message to Elcio, but she tries to dissuade him from returning in these dire times, but he ignores her warning. He is actually very excited to return to the other realm, and with his two pets characteristics, this is the perfect time to improve.
He might not be able to fight against any supernatural-grade genetic creatures, but he can slowly accumulate power through his clones. As long as they can participate in this mad killing battle, they can improve at a skyrocketing rate.
The next day, Cleo says goodbye to his parents, bringing Elcio, and together with Leon, he introduces him as his partner, not knowing that it was actually his pet and can be considered the possessor of the original soul of Cleo.
"Young master, your friend seems to be unlike most of your acquaintances; he is extremely silent. I am afraid that he might be someone shady. You still have not regained your memories, so I must warn you about this type of person." Elcio warns him with a solemn expression.
"Do not worry about him; he is only going with us because he also plans to join the battle for our stronghold; with his help, our safety is much better." Cleo calms him down, inwardly laughing at the attempts of his servant.
Elcio nods his head in agreement, but he is still vigilant towards Leon. He swears that he will attack him if he ever makes any suspicious moves on his young master.
"I was actually thinking of resting for a couple of days; who would have thought that something like this would happen?" Cleo sighs, thinking that this world is truly much more dangerous compared to his former world.
"Actually, there were multiple powerhouses that had predicted this type of event to descend on us, but they were unable to determine the date of the beast waves.
"What!? How are they able to predict such things!?" He was shocked. It seems that the abilities of the powerhouses of this world are greater than he had earlier thought.
"It is no secret that multiple worlds have already been destroyed by the invasion of the genetic creatures; as long as the planet has intelligent creatures or has the ability to host life, the genetic creatures will madly try to devour them."
He nods his head; he already knows this; this is by no means a secret; in fact, this is the reason why the status of the genetic warriors is exalted.
Without people like him and Elcio, their world would have been devoured by the Realm of the Thousand Worlds. Throughout the years, millions upon millions of individuals died protecting their homeworld.
Elcio continues with his story.
"The Realm of the Thousand Worlds has destroyed hundreds of thousands of worlds after billions of years; the remnants of the worlds can even be seen inside of it. According to the researchers, there comes a time when the portal becomes stable for all beings; this would induce all the genetic creatures to go on a frenzy attack in order to create a path to the portal for them to invade the other worlds."
Cleo freezes, takes a deep breath, and asks in a trembling tone.
"Then, even those legendary beings called Transcendence will join the battle."
He had heard rumours, stories, and legends regarding these beings. It was stated that in terms of intelligence, they are actually not inferior to any adult humans; they are also considered at least a hundred times stronger than any supernatural-grade genetic creatures or warriors.
Elcio sighs in a helpless manner.
"I am afraid so, but if we do not protect the stronghold, these creatures will set foot on our homeworld, and the amount of destruction that they will do will be apocalyptic. Even with our superior weapons, we might be unable to defeat the Transcendence beings.
Cleo clenches his fists tightly. He looks at the people and buildings around him and sighs sadly. He knows that he has neither the ability nor the strength to stop the invasion, but he will try as much as he can to spend more time in this new world of his.
He was unable to do anything in the destruction of his former world; he cannot accept that he will be helpless as before. Battle intent brews within his heart, and an unyielding flame of determination lights up inside of him.
