Chapter 15 - CHAPTER 14 SWORD TRAINING

Unlike before, he is no longer acting like a newbie but not like a veteran either; he is more like a regular person. He still exhibits a little bit of naivety, but not to the point that everyone sees him as a weakling.

Meanwhile, his guardians received a message from one of their informants that their young master had entered the realm; unfortunately, the informant did not see when Leon changed into his hunting clothes.

Passing through the busy street, he quickly comes out of the gate unnoticed. Just like before, some veterans immediately see through his clothing, and since he does not carry anything worthy, they immediately lose interest.

"First target is the Big Bill Ducks." Unlike before, he has to fight these creatures; they are capable of fighting back, and with their numbers, they can even overwhelm genetic warriors that have twenty genes.

Since this is the case, he needs a weapon, and there are multiple trees around. As long as he can grab a stick large enough to pretend to be a sword, he is all for it.

He does not have any equipment to craft, but this will change once he encounters a creature that is capable of dropping a pet egg. For others, it is useless, but for him, it is priceless, and their feedback is capable of bridging the gap between him and those that have higher-grade genes.

Arriving at a clearing, he quickly spots some broken sticks, but they are not big enough to fit his criteria. After searching for a half hour or so, he finally decides to break a couple of branches to obtain his so-called weapon.

Summoning his pet, the two of them work with each other, and after multiple tries, they finally obtain four thick and long sticks that they can use to practice.

An hour later, a cry of pain and cursing can be heard in the forest. Leon is covered in bruises as he glares at his pet.

In order to learn quicker, he decided that he should spar with his pet. Since his predecessor learned the way of the sword before, he thought that his pet should know a couple of moves.

His speculation was true; his pet might not know the names of his moves, but it instinctively attacks and blocks with a certain bit of accuracy, causing him to be beaten; he was unable to even fight back.

He grumbles. Since this is the case, he realises that he cannot use such a method as a shortcut. Sighing in disappointment, he decides to train simple sword attacks like slashes and stabs.

Sending his clones to hunt the Big Bill Ducks, he starts swinging his stick into a big tree. Just the first swing causes his hand to ache, and the tree shakes. Even with thirty genes, he was unable to break it, which is actually not surprising for him.

According to the information that he received from Eclipshea and watching the videos on the worldwide network, nearly everything inside the realm is enhanced by some sort of energy that all genetic creatures are capable of absorbing.

In fact, even drinking water can enhance the strength of normal humans, but for those with gene enhancement, the increase is negligible; it is so small to the point that it is nearly nonexistent.

"F*ck!" He curses loudly, but he does not stop swinging. He has two swords, so he was using both, either one at a time or simultaneously.

He knows that he was right-handed in his former life, but in order to survive in this world, he must be adept at every part of his body.

That is why, every time he slashes or stabs, he moves his legs, advancing and retreating at the same time, over and over again.

If somebody sees him right now, they will be surprised. No one dares to waste their energy in the wild; in this realm, every location, even the stronghold, is considered dangerous, and wasting energy for such a practice is frowned upon.

Unfortunately for them, they do not have an existence like Cleo's Clone to hunt for them. Leon is still trying to adapt to this world, and with his current combat experience, getting killed has an incredibly high chance.

The system messages start assaulting, and he realises that with his two sticks, Cleo's clone is much stronger than before.

[Warning! Warning! Cleo's clone is now in a dangerous situation; its current condition is precarious.

Leon, who was cursing loudly as his hand felt like sh*t after multiple attacks on the tree, knew that his pet was immortal, but there was still some sort of payment to revive it, and he did not want to know what it was.

Without hesitation, he drags his exhausted body towards the location of the river where the Big Bill Ducks reside. He hopes that his pet is still alive when he gets there.

Meanwhile, near a certain river, a cloaked figure is fighting against multiple ducks that are the same size as a dog; he is barely hanging on as most of his cloaks are torn.

Even with his current condition, the individual is not afraid in the slightest; he is still fighting back. Suddenly, a shout was heard and a bright light flashed in the area.

All the ducks were killed. The individual quickly retreats and prepares himself. In front of him, a lady with a sword is standing with an angry look.

"Ungrateful! You did not even thank me after saving your life, and now you are pointing your, huh? What type of weapons are those? Wait, do not tell me, are you actually fighting Big Bill Ducks with just two sticks?"

She cannot help but laugh. "I cannot believe that there is someone as foolish as you; no wonder you nearly died from normal genetic creatures; not only are you poor, you are also stupid."

Wiping the tears from her eyes, she realises that what she had done was rude; she heard that most poor warriors would risk their lives to hunt aggressive, normal-grade genetic creatures.

But according to what she knows, most of them travel in groups; this is the first time she has seen such a stupid individual.
