The Frozen Bond

It was a beautiful night in the city of Tokyo. No clouds in the sky, and the moon was emitting a bright shine that fills the entire sky. The city is full of life, with bright lights shining from the buildings and people walking along the streets coming back from a long day at work or drinking too much. On the highway, a single car is driving towards the center of Tokyo. In the car, a male driver was wearing a white dress shirt, a black suit jacket, pants, and a tie. He also looks to be in his thirties.

In the back were two teenagers who looked to be around 16. One teenager was a boy with a basic black sweatshirt and a pair of black jeans. His hair and eyes are as black as the night sky.

The other was a girl wearing a white tee shirt with "Good Job" printed in Japanese Hiragana. She had a pair of blue jeans with the shirt tucked into the jeans. Her hair was a beautiful, calm white color that many would stare at with awe. Her eyes are a light gray that calms the soul when you look into them. The two teens sat in the car in silence, not speaking a word to each other. They had both been taken from their home, with consent from their parents, without anyone telling them why or where they were being taken. The boy broke the silence and asked the driver in a rude tone,

" Hey, where are you taking us?" The driver remained silent.

"Jackass," whispered the boy under his breath, but obvious enough for everyone in the car to hear.

Thirty minutes after the boy had asked the question, the driver finally said,

"We have arrived."

Out of the car window, a gigantic building was looming over them. The building was at least 100 stories tall. It was at the very edge of Chiyoda, almost as if it was overlooking the whole district. The driver took them to what looked like an entrance to an underground parking garage. The driver pulls up to a gate with a box that had a face scanner, a keypad, and a hand scanner. It was most likely a security panel. The driver puts some numbers into the keypad, places his hand on the scanner, and waits a moment. When a light on the panel turned green the driver removed his hand and then puts his face into the face scanner. Finally a buzzing sound comes from the panel, the gate opens, and the driver began to take them underneath the majestic building.

After pulling into the parking garage the driver proceeds to park right next to an elevator. There were not many spots in the garage, with only 8 other cars parked and each one was expensive. When the car was parked, the driver speaks for the second time.

"Get out."

Without questioning, the two kids get out of the car and grab their belongings from the trunk. The driver was already out of the car and motions them to the elevator. The two teens, to afraid to cross the driver, walk over to the elevator. When they finally reached the driver, he pressed the only button on the wall, and not even a moment later the elevator doors opened. They walk into the elevator, and the driver presses the button with the number 1 on it. There were 150 buttons in total on the elevator panel. The lowest floor had a "g" on it. They only waited for a couple of seconds when the elevator dings and the doors open to the first floor.

As the door opens, they see this grand lobby. The ceiling was high off the ground, and windows surrounded them. They could see parts of the city from the windows. Even though this was only the first floor, they could still see the tops of some buildings.

The lobby had just a couple of things in it. A chandelier was hanging from the ceiling, coming to a stop only 15 ft from the ground. There was only one other thing in the room. A desk was sitting in the middle of the room. There were 2 people behind the desk. One was a female sitting in an office chair with a computer in front of her. She was dressed in a white women's button-up top and a black skirt that went down a little past her knees. She had dark, black hair pulled back into a bun. She was wearing glasses, so you couldn't tell what her eyes looked like from far away.

The other was standing next to the lady. A middle-aged male who was also wearing glasses. His hair was brown and was sticking out in all sorts of places, it seemed like he had just rolled out of bed. He was wearing black pants with a white button-up shirt with a black tie. The two were talking to each other, but they were far enough away that the teens could not hear what they were saying. They walked to the middle of the room and stopped. The two people stopped talking and turned towards them. The man says while walking up to them,

"Ah yes! Finally, you two show up!".

He then proceeds to talk to the man who drove them here:

"Thank you for taking them all the way here. You can take the rest of the day off."

without a word, the driver bows and heads to the elevator, and the doors close.

"Alright, you two. Um…. What are your names again?"

"I am Tenshi Akimitsu," answered the girl in a very polite tone.

"Yami Tsuki," said the boy in an annoyed, bratty tone.

"Oh yes! That's what they were! My name is Alexander Hughes, please just call me Hughes." said the man.

"Hey I got a question for you old man," said Yami, with the same tone of voice that makes him seem like some sort of punk,

"Why the hell did you guys just show up out of nowhere, come into my house, and take me away?"

"Yes, that happened to me as well." said Teshi in a soft, caring voice.

"Yes, yes. You will both find out very soon, but first, let me show you two to your rooms. Follow me, if you'll please." Hughes said.

Hughes proceeds to headed towards the elevator with on intention to answer all of their questions.

Yami let out a loud "tisk" sound and the two teens followed Hughes into the elevator. When they entered the elevator, the buttons for floors 54 and 55 were lit up. Hughes was holding the open door button so that the two could enter the elevator, and once they were both inside, he lifted his finger off the button, and the doors closed. After a very short amount of time, they reached the 54th floor. When the elevator doors opened, the teens saw an extraordinary room. The room was open and spacious, with only a bed, a table, and chairs inside. The floor and ceiling were a concrete gray and looked very plain. The room had no walls, but there were windows with a beautiful view of Tokyo. Tenshi ran towards the window to get a better look at the view. You could see what felt like all of Tokyo from there. The city lights like a sea of stars and mount Fuji looming in the distance like a king watching his subjects from above. The view was truly astonishing, and as Tenshi admired it, Yami asked,

"What is this boring-looking room for?"

"This is where Tenshi will be staying," responded Hughes

"You will be staying on the floor above. For now there will only be a bed and a table with chairs in the room, but once you get settled in we can order whatever furniture you would like."

"Now, Yami, I will take you to your room. Tenshi, if you need anything, then just ask Lisa, and she will help you out."

As the doors to the elevator started to close, Tenshi yelled from across the room,

"Wait. Who's Lisa?"

When the doors closed, something bright flashed in front of Tenshi. She let out a slight scream and fell to the floor. As Tenshi looked up, she saw what looked like a young, beautiful woman. She looked to be in her late twenties. She wore clothes that looked like a one-piece bathing suit, but the weirdest part about, she was all blue.

"Hello there! I'm the A.I. that runs the basic functions of this building. My name is Lisa; nice to meet you, Master Tenshi!" said the woman.

"Yes…nice to meet you." responded Tenshi, confused.

"Wait wait wait, how do you know my name already?" asked Tenshi.

"Oh, I know everything that goes on in this building. I hear every word and is said and see everything that is done!"

"This is to keep the security of this building as tight as possible." said Lisa.

"What about people's privacy?" asked Tenshi.

"That's a small price to pay for the safety of the building no?"

Tenshi could not believe what was happening. She was having a full conversation with an A.I.! Common knowledge about todays A.I. said that A.I. could only have set responses and not fully respond to a question. Still, this A.I. would respond to her question in full sentences that did not sound preset. The A.I. even had her own personality! This was going way over Tenshi's head, and she started to get a headache from trying to figure out what was happening.

"Well, if you have no more questions, then enjoy your new home to the fullest! Master Hughes will be back shortly to show you around more! See you later!" and with that, Lisa disappeared.

"W..W...Wait!" Tenshi called out, but it was too late. Lisa was already gone.

"What was that all about!??!" Tenshi thought to herself.

Tenshi walked over to the bed in the middle of the room and sat down. Her brain was overloaded with everything that just happened. She was taken from her home and driven to some weird place by some weird person she did not know, and now some sort of computer was talking with her? It was too much to process at once.

Tenshi lied on the bed and instantly fell asleep from the day's fatigue. 

...

"Hey….Helloooo? Miss Tenshi? It's time to wake up."

Tenshi struggled to open her eyes. When she finally opened them, she saw Hughes standing beside the bed. 

"Hello. I know you had a long trip but it's time for me to introduce you to the others." 

"Others?" Tenshi said confused

"But I thought it was just me and Yami that got brought here?"

"Today, yes. There are others that have been here for much longer than you have. Now come on, out of bed."

As Tenshi slowly got out of bed, a voice came from the elevator,

"Hurry up! I've been standing here for the past fifteen minutes!"

It was Yami. He had been waiting in the elevator while Hughes was trying to wake Tenshi up. Tenshi sluggishly made her way to the elevator, with Hughes following right behind her. When they enter the elevator, Hughes scans over the buttons until he finds number 2. Hughes presses the button, and the doors close. 

"The other guys will be so excited to know that you two are here! They have been waiting a long time for you to arrive." said Hughes

Neither Tenshi nor Yami said a word. Tenshi was still trying to wake up from her nap, and Yami didn't feel like speaking. When they reached the second floor, a voice announced they had arrived. When the doors opened, both Yami's and Tenshi's jaws dropped.

The room was huge, with what looked like two levels inside of the one room. A chandelier was hanging from the roof of the second floor and went in between a hole cut out of the second floor to fit the chandelier perfectly. In the far right-hand corner of the room stood a spiral stairway leading to the room's second floor. In the left corner was a full-fledged kitchen with an oven, dishwasher, fridge, and even an island where six people could sit and eat.

Right across from the kitchen was a wooden dining room table with six chairs surrounding the table. On the left side wall from the elevator was a gigantic screen. Nothing was playing on the screen at the moment. At the center of it all was a fancy coffee table underneath the chandelier with two couches and two lounge chairs surrounding it. Sitting down around the table were four teens who looked to be around the same age as Tenshi and Yami. Two girls and two boys. Hughes begins to walk towards the teens sitting around the table. Not knowing what to do, Tenshi follows Hughes, and Yami follows after Tenshi. 

"Sorry we're late! Took some time for them to get settled in." said Hughes.

"Everyone, this will be your new teammates."

After Hughes spoke, one of the girls stood up from the couch.

"Nice to meet you two! My name is Himari Haruna and I'm the leader of the team."

"I look forward to working with the both of you!"

Himari was a girl about 5ft 4in. She wore a brown skirt that stopped above her knees. She had a sleeveless black top with a turtleneck neck with a brown sweater overtop. The sweater had a v-cut shape that went down a little past her chest and had a dark red lining. Her hair was short only going to her shoulders, and was a brunette color that almost looked like a dark red in the light. Her eyes were a dark brown that also almost looked red. when Himari spoke it was calm but confident, and burning with passion. Just hearing, both Tenshi and Yami could tell that she was a natural born leader.

After Himari spoke, the boy sitting next to her stood up and announced,

"I'm Rajin Inazuma, nice to meet ya."

Rajin was a tall boy, about 6ft 1in. He was wearing a white V-neck shirt with a yellow jacket on top. The tips of the sleeves and the pockets were black, and the zipper for the jacket was black as well. He was wearing black jeans as well. He had dirty blonde hair that looked more blonde when he entered the light. His eyes were a light, but yet dark blue color. It was almost like they were constantly changing, like a intense storm. 

The next one to speak was the other girl. She stood up from her seat quickly and said,

"N..N..Nice to mmmmeet you." 

"I'mmm Hiromi Mi..Mi..Mizuki."

From the way she was stuttering, Hiromi seemed to be a very shy person. Her hair was a dark black color and a little messy. In the front, her hair only went about half an inch past her shoulders, but from the back, it went down to about 3 inches about her waist. She was about 5ft 3in, just a little shorter than Himari. She was wearing a black zip-up hoodie hanging off her shoulders. She had a blue, long-sleeved top with a turtleneck. She had blue jeans on with a black belt holding them up. 

The last did not move. He just sat there staring at Tenshi and Yami. It was like he could see their very souls. When they looked at the boy chills ran up their spines.

"And that's Yukino Fuyu. He doesn't talk very much." Himari said.

Even though Yukino was sitting down, you could tell he had to be at least 6 feet tall. His hair was a light brown color. Not quite blonde, but it could be easily mistaken. He was wearing a white shirt with a grey trench coat over top. He had black jeans on with a white belt around them, and he had a cross necklace around his neck.

"Hey Yuki! You really should be nicer to our new teammates here!" said Himari

"After all it will be hard for you to..."

Then, an alarm sounded before Himari could finish her sentence. Lisa pops in out of nowhere on top of the coffee table and starts shouting, "Emergency, Emergency. There are intrudes trying to invade the Hawaii base. Their numbers look to be roughly 100,000. Please head to the Draakk to get ready to intercept them."
