Chapter 11 - Something white.

Azalea spared a glare at his words. Who would even like being called a feisty cat, her lips poured annoyed at his statement. Since he was so desperate, she was not going to be considerate. She said it to him and only got snarky remarks from him.

"Fine, if you die it's not my fault." Azalea snarled, shoving his arms away, and getting out of bed. She left for the bathroom while Adam remained at the bed, his eyes following her till she was no longer in his sight.

Adam chuckled; she was really like a grumpy cat that made him want to tease her more. He sighed and took his phone, dialing a number.

By the time Azalea came out of the shower, Adam was out of bed, and even changed the sheets and made the bed. He was nowhere to be seen, Azalea smelled fresh coffee coming from the kitchen. She couldn't help but follow the smell, and there he was pouring coffee in the kitchen. His named upper body basked in the sunlight. Even with all the bandages wrapped around her, his muscles were clear.

Azalea couldn't help but wonder, whether it was the coffee that was making her hungry or the handsome Greek god that was making her coffee. What was Adonis doing in her house?

"Are you going to stand there and stare at me?" Adam's voice brought her back to Earth from Olympus. Azalea shook her head, and looked at him puzzled.

"Here. I know you have a habit of having a cup of coffee before starting your day." Adam remarked, putting the cup of coffee on the counter.

Azalea was a bit confused, she did walk up to grab the cup of coffee though. It must be her mother, otherwise, how would he know? Not many people know her habits since she was not a people person.

She took a sip and was quite surprised that it was actually good. Just like the way she likes. How strange. "It's good. If you were not a businessman you could definitely be a barista." Azalea remarked, drinking her coffee.

Adam let out a sigh of relief, "Who wants to be a barista? I just want to make coffee only for you every morning."

Azalea choked, hearing sweet words coughing out loud, and looking at the man. How can he say such stuff without any hesitation? If others heard it they would think he was the most loving husband.

"You alright?" Adam asked with worry, seeing her coughing vigorously, completely unaware he was the cause of it.

"Yeah, I am fine. I should go get dressed. What about you? Are you planning to wear this?" Azalea inquired seeing Adam still in her brother's sweats. When he came there, even his pants were burned, and had an injury on his calf. Luckily her brother kept extras in his car and lent a sweatpant to Adam.

"Steven is coming with my clothes. Don't worry, get dressed. Wear something white." Adam informed, giving a soft pat.

Azalea nodded, walking back to her room with a cup of coffee. Well aware, she can't drink comfortably with him beside her. Who knows which moment he ends up saying such shameless lines? This guy was a flirt, a big flirt.

Something white. Azalea closed the bedroom door and opened her wardrobe staring at all the clothes she had. She never expected that she would agree to marry him but marrying for business seems better than anything. If anything that would put her parents at ease, and she can enjoy her comfort. If it was a marriage of love, she would have to think of making the other person happy enough that they don't try to leave.

It was not like she had planned on marrying for love, as long as she was not dragged into the mess called love, she was happy to have a normal marriage like any other couple just except for love.

Azalea took out a sleeveless flowy dress that reached her knee length. It was simple, with white flower embroidery around the hem of the dress. This was the closest she could find to a white. After putting it on, she tied up her braids, and let out a few strands on the front.

It didn't take her long to get ready, with some light makeup she took a glance at her before walking out of the room. Adam was there, talking to Steven who was helping Adam with changing his bandage.

As soon as she walked out of the room, Adam's eyes struck her. His gaze fixated on her scanning her from head to toe. His eyes brightened and mesmerized by her, his breath taken away by her.

"You look beautiful." Adam finally got his sense back and remarked. Azalea smiled, replying with her head lowered, "Thank you."

"Mrs. Shen," Steven gave a polite bow, as he finished changing Adam's bandages to which Azalea nodded, her face turning further red at the greeting. It was quite strange and new to her. However, she didn't try to correct him knowing it was his work.

"I will get going then, Mr. Shen." Steven didn't waste any more time, and left the apartment, handing over the shopping bag to Adam.

Adam didn't bat an eye at Steven and nodded his eyes still glued at Azalea. "You should get ready too." Azalea cleared her throat and tried to stop herself from blushing anymore.

Adam stood up from his place, not answering her words. Instead, he went closer to her, his gaze remained at her. Azalea felt something bubbling in her stomach, as she instinctively stepped backward until she was pinned up to the door of her bedroom.

"W-what…" Her words were cut short, as Adam grabbed her by her waist and pulled her closer, his lips being placed over hers, slowly devouring her whole. The bitter hint of coffee hit her, as his tongue slipped its way into her mouth, savoring every part of her.
