This was tradition, and the winner of the duel would become one of the Emperor's personal guards—a great honor for any officer.
Once everything was ready, Director Zhang checked the cameras and then the monitors. Everyone was in place, and the scene finally started. The Martial Arts Center was a round room resembling an auditorium with many seats and served as a battle ring. Soldiers had to train here in batches, as it was not overly large, yet not too small either.
