Enix stared at his stats while skulking around in his own house.
Taking clumsy and feeble steps, he dodged the maids and the servant on his little escapade down the stairs.
But there was one rat he could never escape from, just as he took one careful step down the spiraling stairs to the first floor, a cheeky, childish voice beckoned toward him, nearly frightening him to death and making him slip.
"F-Fria!" Enix called out in a quaky voice.
The young girl, walking with short, staggering steps, much better than Enix, tilted her head and asked with a frown, "W-Where are you going off too?"
As he heard her rather fine voice, much refined than a normal baby her age, and terrifically better than his own, he furrowed his brows and grumbled, "You visited the library again yesterday. Today, I am going there too."
Hearing what he had said, Fria burst into laughter and descended onto the first step, alongside him, "Alright, let's go," She looked around sneakily before muttering, "Don't be noisy... lest Mama finds out."
The two nodded, and under Fria's lead, advanced on.
In his time with her, Enix had already understood that Fria was a genius, a prodigy. She was developing better than ordinary children, and showed signs of intellect beyond her age. She was a precocious child.
But that was perfectly fine for him. Why? Because his mother had labeled her the cause and the driving force behind Enix behaving oddly and doing things on his own accord too, despite being just 1 and a half year old, like his sister.
Basically, his mother took both of them to be geniuses, who, with each other's influence, were developing rapidly and surpassing even each other's own pace.
The only pity and concern, if any she had, was Enix.
She had grown terribly over-protective of him and had placed a great many restrictions upon him.
Upon Fria's avid curiosity, Fria was exposed to many things. Such as magic casting, swordman-ship, the library, and most importantly, the outside world.
But for Enix, with his terrible constitution, and tendency to pass out sometimes— still a mystery till now, when he visited outside or was exposed to a great many people(women)— his conditions were made polar opposite to her's.
Hence, his rebellious nature of doing whatever he pleased. Like, right now, visiting the library because he was not taken their yesterday alongside Fria.
His one joy was that Fria herself always aided him. Enjoying their jaunt.
As the two made their way down, from the third floor, leaning against the balustrade, Mugam and Gruis peered down at them with slight smiles, "Both my children are too smart, Gruis."
"Indeed so, madam. Both of them are sure to be unmatched prodigies." Gruis nodded, his heart filled with reverence toward his young master and mistress.
"But they will be ruined by Juggu..." Mugam's voice trailed off. Her eyes glazed as she fell into thought.
After a while, she started and looked Gruis in the eyes, "Gruis, you are to protect these two at any cost... even mine, or yours, or your master's."
"Madam," Gruis's eyes trembled, "I... I..."
"This is not a command, Gruis. I know you don't take orders from me... but Juggu." Mugam smiled, "This is a request."
"Madam... If I dare say, I may not be suited for the task. I may not be able to fulfill it... hence you must take this in your own hands."
Mugam smiled and stared past the glass in the ceiling and at the blazing sun, "I would, Gruis... I will... If I live that long."
Gruis's hands trembled. And his lips thinned into lines.

"What are you planning on doing anyways? Read? But you can't read."
Fria directed her pair of eyes toward the large shelves filled to the brim with titles that she could barely understand.
Enix chuckled, "I will just sit here and do whatever I want, until my weekly library time is as much as yours!"
Fria, hearing his words, chuckled and asked, "Want me to share what Mama read me yesterday?"
"Yea!" Enix's eyes sparkled.
"But I won't." Fria grinned and strode away into the books and doing her own things.
Enix grumbled and rolled his eyes, 'Typical Fria. But hey! I never said I can't read!'
His eyes passed the round wooden table on the side and fell upon the empty cups resting upon it.
There were two chairs, pulled back, giving off a lush woody scent.
Crowning the wall behind the table was a row of portraits. Portraits of his father and grandfather and great grandfather.
All three of them bore striking resemblance. The same glazed blue irises and menacing curls around the edges of their eyes.
Enix walked toward the chair and, with difficultly, climbed on.
There was a book, opened and flipped, resting on the table, next to a cup and a mirror with intricate mouldings on the edges placed to the side.
'Mother's mirror!' His mother used to carry it all around, it was surprising for it to have been missed.
He had always seen its back, but never inside it.
With curiosity, he picked it up and peeked inside. A young toddler peered back at him, he had a shallow complexion and unhealthy pale white skin.
With odd dark circles around his eyes, he had strange, dull blue irises, drapped behind his messy blue strands.
His eyes lacked the luster of life, much less the luster of innocence.
Seeing his unsightly appearance, Enix chuckled, 'I look worse than I did in my last life.'
His sickly, bony hand reached forward and caressed the mirror, gently tracing his blueish thin lips.
Suddenly, affected by his touch, the mirror shuffled. And a display he was all too familiar with appeared in front of him.
It was his status! Complete status!
And when he said complete, he meant complete! It had all the details of the status he regularly saw... and all the details he had never seen.

'I can...' Enix felt immense joy puncture his feeble heart, "I can fuck every women now!!"
The chair rattled and Enix collapsed down—swooned!
Fria instantly dashed toward the ruckus. While the library's room swung open and Grius and Mugam bolted in. Seeing Enix unconscious, the world seemed to darken, as, Mugam too, swooned.
