Chapter 204 - Chapter 204: Deadpool Thrown Into the Trash

Swoosh!

Before Deadpool could continue his nonsense, another mechanical arm formed from nano particles extended from behind Dr. Otto, condensing into a sharp, glinting spike. The cold blade halted precisely in front of Deadpool's eyes, mere inches from piercing his eyeball.

"Okay, okay, I'm not Spider-Man, nor did Iron Man send me to assassinate you..." Deadpool seemed frightened by the blade so close to his face, instantly dismissing the lie he had just made up.

"In fact, I'm Batman, from the Justice League, sent by Superman to take you out!" But immediately, Deadpool's tone shifted, and he started spewing more random nonsense.

"I gave you a chance!" Dr. Otto, of course, didn't believe a word Deadpool said. His patience had worn thin, and his gaze turned icy cold.

The next moment, another mechanical arm grabbed Deadpool's legs, slowly lifting him into the air. The two mechanical arms gradually increased their grip, as if they were about to tear Deadpool in half.

Creak, creak...

As the mechanical arms tightened their grip, the sound of bones twisting and breaking echoed from Deadpool's body.

"Oh my God, aah! It hurts!" At first, as Dr. Otto slowly increased the pressure, Deadpool began screaming in agony, as if his body really was about to be torn apart.

"Tell me your purpose, or I'll shove your head where the sun doesn't shine..." Dr. Otto threatened coldly, slowly increasing the force as he spoke those brutal words.

"F***, you're so cruel! Are you also from the dark and twisted DC Universe, like me?" However, in an instant, Deadpool seemed to ignore the pain and the sound of his bones breaking, once again throwing out a sarcastic comment.

"The DC Universe?"

Though Deadpool's words were clearly intended as a joke, they didn't strike Dr. Otto as such. Few knew that Peter had personally visited the DC Universe, but Dr. Otto was among them. He understood that the DC Universe wasn't just a fictional concept from comics—it was a real, existing universe. Moreover, just months ago, their own universe had been invaded by the DC Universe, though it was eventually resolved peacefully.

"Could it be that those guys from the DC Universe are back for revenge?"

Even though their last encounter with the DC Universe had ended peacefully, it didn't mean that everyone from that other universe harbored no ill will toward them. If some of them were unwilling to accept their previous failure and were now regrouping for a second invasion, the consequences could be dire.

"No, whether this seemingly insane guy is telling the truth or not, I need to inform Mr. Peter about this immediately..." Dr. Otto couldn't be sure if this madman spouting nonsense was telling the truth, but the matter was too important to ignore. He had to inform Peter as soon as possible.

"Hmm? Did he actually believe what I said?"

Deadpool quickly noticed that the mechanical arms weren't tightening their grip any further. He also noticed that Dr. Otto seemed to be taking his words very seriously, which puzzled him.

"Are people in this universe really that dumb? Even Logan, that big dumb brute, wouldn't have fallen for such an obvious lie. How did this guy get tricked?"

At that moment, realizing that Dr. Otto might have actually bought into his lie, even Deadpool started questioning whether people in this universe had some sort of intelligence deficiency.

"But this is a great opportunity!"

However, instead of dwelling on Dr. Otto's possible lack of intelligence, Deadpool subtly began to exert force. His previously twisted and broken arm miraculously healed in a short time, the shattered bones fusing back together.

The long knife that Deadpool had never released from his grip now proved to be crucial.

Crack!

Just as Dr. Otto was about to relay this seemingly vital information to Peter, the sound of bones snapping echoed once again.

Dr. Otto quickly turned his attention back to Deadpool, only to see that Deadpool's previously broken arm had somehow recovered. Now, with a quick, powerful motion, Deadpool swung his blade with such force that it broke his arm again. Yet, even with his arm fractured, the knife in Deadpool's hand continued its trajectory, slicing through the air in a wide arc.

The blade headed straight for Deadpool's own neck…

"Damn it! This guy is trying to kill himself to keep the secret!"

From Dr. Otto's perspective, Deadpool's actions were clearly a desperate move to protect a secret by committing suicide. But it was too late to stop him.

The sharp adamantium blade cut through Deadpool's neck like butter, severing his head cleanly. His head fell to the ground, bouncing a few times before rolling toward the window. The head kept rolling until it tumbled through the shattered window, falling outside.

"F***!"

Dr. Otto was shocked, not only by how ruthless Deadpool was with himself but also by the fact that even in death, Deadpool didn't miss an opportunity to mess with him. After severing Deadpool's neck, the knife continued its path, heading straight for Dr. Otto.

Clang!

However, the blade was moving slowly, and Dr. Otto managed to react in time. He caught the flying knife effortlessly with one of his mechanical arms.

"Hmm? This metal's hardness… It seems to surpass any alloy previously known on Earth. It might even rival Wakandan vibranium materials."

A bit frustrated, Dr. Otto attempted to snap the blade, only to discover that it was incredibly durable, far beyond any alloy previously made on Earth. In fact, it was comparable to vibranium, nearly as strong as the nano-metal in his own armor.

"This guy… is no ordinary assassin."

Dr. Otto realized that Deadpool was much more than just an ordinary killer.

...

On the Other Side.

As Deadpool's head rolled out of the building, plummeting toward the ground below, one might think he was beyond saving, with only his severed head remaining. However, suddenly, his mouth opened.

"That was close! I almost got caught by that damned guy!"

Deadpool felt relieved. Although his body had an unbelievable healing factor, he dreaded what those mad scientists would do if they ever got their hands on him. After all, his powerful regenerative ability came from a crazy scientific experiment in the first place—a nightmare he had no intention of reliving.

"And that damn employer, giving me an impossible bounty mission! When I recover, I'll definitely find him and rip that weird outfit off his body myself!" Deadpool grumbled as his head continued to plummet from the sky. "And he better compensate me for my losses. That was an adamantium blade! I saved up for ages to buy it, almost had to sell… well, never mind…"

As these thoughts raced through his mind, Deadpool's head kept falling at high speed from thousands of meters up in the air. It took over ten seconds before he finally hit the ground.

During that time, with only his head left, Deadpool had no way to stop his rapid descent.

"Whoa, I hope what's about to happen doesn't scar these people for life…" Deadpool's head rolled through the air.

As he neared the ground, only a few dozen meters from impact, he spotted a crowd of people below, walking around unsuspectingly. He couldn't help but close his eyes, unwilling to witness the gruesome aftermath.

Splat!

"Ah, damn it! Who the hell threw something from up there? Don't they know that's illegal?!"

"What the… Is that…? Aaaah!"

"F***, that's a human head… Ugh!"

Anyone who's ever seen a watermelon drop from a great height knows what happens. Red juice splatters everywhere, leaving a mess. But in this case, Deadpool's head, having fallen from thousands of meters up, made an even more shocking impact.

The splatter wasn't just red liquid; there was also a white, tofu-like substance mixed in. Although, fortunately, his head didn't directly hit any pedestrians, several unlucky bystanders were standing right next to where it landed.

It's safe to say the trauma they experienced might take more than a few thousand dollars in therapy to heal.

"Hurry, clear the area! Keep the situation under control! Call the police and the hospital…"

Within seconds of Deadpool's head hitting the ground, the company's security personnel had already arrived. Staring at the pool of unidentifiable matter splattered on the ground, they fought the urge to vomit and instructed others to follow protocol and maintain order.

"Actually, scratch the hospital. Just call in some cleaners with strong stomachs," one of the security guards said, retracting the hospital call. After all, considering the situation, he didn't see much point in involving medical staff.

"Come on, don't! I feel like I can still be saved… really…"

Of course, if Deadpool's scattered remains could speak, that's definitely what he would have said.

...

In fact, within the few seconds that Deadpool was falling, it was enough time for Dr. Otto to issue a few commands.

For example, just as Deadpool's head was about to hit the ground, security personnel were already rushing to the scene. Shortly after Deadpool's head splattered on the ground, they arrived to maintain order and disperse the surrounding crowd, both those affected and those who were simply curious onlookers.

As for how much money it would take to compensate the pedestrians traumatized by the incident, that wasn't something the security team needed to worry about. A company of this size never disappoints in handling such matters.

Soon after, a news report emerged:

"Reports indicate that not long ago, an unidentified terrorist suddenly attacked the CEO of Stellar Technology, Dr. Otto Octavius. Fortunately, no casualties were reported, and the police and FBI are currently investigating the matter..."

Deadpool's assassination attempt and subsequent death didn't seem to have much of an impact. It merely became gossip for bored people during their idle time. Even the pedestrians affected and mentally scarred were pacified by ample compensation, so they didn't pursue the matter further.

However, for Dr. Otto, the situation wasn't so simple.

After delegating the post-incident matters to others, he thought for a moment and decided to initiate a video call with Peter.

"You're saying a guy in a red bodysuit, who seemed like a lunatic, tried to assassinate you and claimed to be from the DC Universe?" Peter, who was vacationing at his estate, listened with interest to Otto's recounting of the events and, after learning the details, couldn't help but ask.

"Exactly, sir. Given the peculiar nature of the previous invasion from the DC Universe, I felt it necessary to inform you of this," Dr. Otto replied calmly, showing no signs of distress despite the assassination attempt.

"Show me the footage from that moment..."

As Peter spoke, a video instantly began playing in front of him.

"It's that damn guy, alright!" Peter instantly recognized Deadpool's familiar figure.

"Alright, I get it. You weren't hurt, were you?"

Though he knew Dr. Otto was equipped with advanced tech that made him nearly impossible to assassinate, Peter still showed concern.

"Of course not, sir. That guy had decent equipment and strength, but he couldn't break through the defense of my nanotech armor..." Dr. Otto shook his head, indicating he was fine.

"Good. That guy isn't from the DC Universe, and everything he said was just nonsense..."

"Though, his appearance does surprise me..."

Peter had read files on mutants before, and on their Earth, Deadpool had never appeared. His sudden arrival likely indicated he was from another universe or timeline.

"I wonder what his real goal was in infiltrating our universe and attempting to assassinate Dr. Otto..."

Peter couldn't help but feel puzzled by Deadpool's sudden appearance.

"What about his body after he killed himself?"

Peter knew Deadpool had an even more incredible healing factor than Wolverine, and wouldn't die so easily. He intended to track Deadpool down and ask him directly about his true purpose.

"I had his body examined, and there was nothing unusual about it—just that his cells seemed to have a strong healing ability. But since he lost his head, he can't regenerate. We're planning to cremate him."

"As for his head that fell from the building, it was shattered to pieces. There's no point in studying it anymore, so I think the cleaners bagged it up and tossed it out with the trash..."

Dr. Otto didn't know why Peter was asking, but he responded without hesitation.

"Tossed out with the trash?"

Peter murmured, as a vision of Deadpool slowly regenerating and crawling out of a pile of garbage came to mind.
