Reverend Father Elijah had grown accustomed to being awakened in the middle of the night with calls to perform exorcisms. Most of the time they were false alarms, but this time it was different. He was summoned by a desperate family whose home was being tormented by a demonic presence within their pregnant daughter Rose. The rainy night was dark and the wind was howling as Father Elijah raced to the family's house. As soon as he arrived, the lightening lit up the sky and thunder rolled. The home was dark and silent, as if the demonic presence wanted to conceal itself from his presence. Father Elijah started to pray as soon as he crossed the threshold. His words echoed around the room and seemed to be reverberating from different places. As he continued to pray, a deep growl filled the room and the family began to tremble. The growl was coming from Rose, and then a desperate voice began to speak. The voice begged for release, claiming that it was a tortured soul, that had been trapped in this place for centuries. Father Elijah tried to reason with the spirit, but it seemed to have gone mad from the centuries of agony. Father Elijah looked past the fear and performed the exorcism, stopping the haunts and ridding the home of the spirit. As soon as he began, the thunder and lightening stopped and the night grew eerily quiet. The family was relieved, but the reverend still felt the presence of the demonic spirit. Father Elijah prayed for guidance, but he felt convinced that Rose's pregnancy was not of this world. He feared the dark forces were at work behind it. Rather than tell Rose's parents of his suspicion,Father Elijah chose to remain silent and to instead use prayer as a way to combat the evil forces at work. As soon as he continued to pray, everything in the room began to levitate and spin in mid-air. Paintings spun, books flew, and even the bed Rose laid, rose off the floor. The atmosphere seemed ominous and every corner and crevice seemed to be filled with a malicious presence. Father Elijah was terrified but prayed harder, determined to escape the demon's grasp. Suddenly, the levitating objects began to calm down and spiral downwards until they all settled on the ground. The room felt eerily calm and Father Elijah was relieved. He knew this was only a test and that the demon hadn't truly been exorcised yet, but was convinced the exorcism was only going to be possible after Rose had the baby. So he encouraged Rose's parents to keep praying and patiently wait for Rose to give birth, since her delivery was due in a few weeks. He told them he was going to keep in touch, and then he left.
Three weeks later, Father Elijah got a call and was again summoned to the hospital where Rose was about to deliver her baby. He hurried out the door and jumped into his car, determined to make the journey as quickly as possible. But as soon as he turned the key in the ignition, he realized something was terribly wrong. The engine sputtered and sighed, then flat out refused to start. He immediately perceived demonic presence at work, making an attempt at stopping him from going to the hospital, so he opened up the bonnet of his car and splashed holy water into the engine. He then went ahead to try it again, and the motor fired up, and he headed for the hospital. When he arrived, he saw Rose's parents standing just outside the entrance to the maternity ward. They explained that she had been in labour for hours now, and that they were getting scared. Moreso, the doctors aren't saying what the problem was, and why it's taking so long. Father Elijah asked Rose's parents to take their seat, then he asked them to tell him how Rose's pregnancy came about. Rose's mom sighed, and started explaining to Father Elijah. She told him that Rose had never been the popular kid. She was shy and reserved, and preferred to lurk in the shadows rather than dance in the spotlight. She described how Rose often kept to herself and had few close friends. She explained that she wanted Rose to find her path and her purpose in life, and that she was trying hard to give Rose a sense of identity and security, so when Rose decided to go spend time with some new friends she made for the first time, she was thrilled. But things got worse after Rose came back home the following day. Rose had locked herself up in her room, refusing to speak to anyone, or even eat. After much persuasion, Rose revealed to her what had happened the previous day. Rose recalled staring nervously at an imposing building looming in the fog. The structure had clearly seen better days, but its shadowy walls and broken windows made her uneasy. She could feel the tension floating in the air around her and her friends.'What are we doing here?' she asked, her voice shaking. 'It's Beth's birthday,' said one of her friends. 'She wanted to have her party at this haunted house. She heard it was positively filled with supernatural activity.' her stomach twisted into a knot of fear. She was not one for the supernatural, but her friends had insisted that she come along. As they approached the abandoned building, she could practically feel the eerie energy radiating from the house.'Let's just get this party over with,' said another one of her friends. This did nothing to quell her fears, but she bravely followed her friends inside. As soon as they entered the house they were surrounded by strange noises and creaking floorboards. She felt her heart pounding as they ventured further into the darkness. As they rounded a corner, She had to stop in her tracks. A figure stood before them, a ghostly figure shrouded in a black cloak. She instinctively reached for her friends, but the figure stepped forward and grabbed her. That was the last thing she remembered, and when she woke up the next morning, she glanced around the room and discovered that she was alone. Her clothes were in a neat pile on the floor and she had a distinct feeling that she had not been alone the previous night. As she slowly stood up and walked towards her clothes so she could get dressed, the sight she saw made her sick to her stomach. There were fluids on her body and it was clear someone had had sex with her. She felt violated and frightened. She got dressed and ran home. After Rose's mom narrated this to Father Elijah, Rose's dad further added that what had happened to their daughter that night, was what led to her pregnancy, and the contacted the police who are currently investigating the matter, but had discovered nothing. Rose's friends had all been questioned, but all of them insisted that Rose had slumped that night, and they got scared and ran away leaving her there. Now they have a 16 years old pregnant daughter, who is also possessed, to deal with all by themselves since that incident.
