Xin Yue took a deep breath to steady herself before responding. "The proof is in the video in that pen drive which was taken away by the police."
Lei Junshan's eyes widened slightly, his heart pounding as he processed her words, "Are you sure?"
Xin Yue nodded firmly, her gaze steady. "I am absolutely sure."
Lei Junshan nodded, already reaching for his phone. "I'll call the higher-ups in the police department. We need to get a copy of that video immediately."
With that, he dialed a number and waited as the phone rang. The seconds felt like hours as they all stood in tense silence, waiting for the call to connect. When it finally did, Lei Junshan spoke quickly and with authority. "This is Lei Junshan. I need to speak with Chief Wu immediately."
There was a brief pause on the other end before the line was transferred. "Young Master Lei," came the voice of Chief Wu, the head of the local police department. "What can I do for you?"
