Xin Yue stood frozen in place. She was already frightened because of darkness and Lei Junshan's touch made her freeze. She still tried to gather her senses and do something when she heard Lei Junshan's voice.
"I know you think that I don't have any emotions. But that's not true. I just can't express them."
Lei Junshan, still under the impression that he was holding Huang Ling, decided to turn Xin Yue around to speak to her face to face. However, just as Xin Yue began to turn, a curtain got in the way, momentarily blocking their view of each other. Determined to continue their interaction, Lei Junshan swiftly moved to remove the curtain, unveiling Xin Yue's face and realizing that he was, in fact, holding someone else entirely.
