Lei Junshan and Lei Juncheng looked at each other anxiously. They had protected their third brother from all the family politics and the complications of their business. They did not want him to get involved in such messy affairs. The thought that their brother might have heard them stiffened their hearts. Both the brothers waited for Lei Junmo to speak.
Lei Junshan asked, "Say, what happened?"
Lei Junmo cried out, "Tell me truthfully, did I gain some weight? I feel like I have gained a lot. My abs are disappearing a bit by bit."
Lei Junshan and Lei Juncheng sighed in relief. Thanks to God that their brother had not heard anything. Otherwise, it would have been very difficult to explain everything to him.
As their anxious hearts calmed down, Lei Junshan and Lei Juncheng began to tease Lei Junmo, "You have indeed gained weight. What will happen to your girlfriends now? Won't they abandon you?"
"Brother…you are so mean," Lei Junmo complained. The loving banter between the three brothers had started again.

Meanwhile, Yi Chunhua and Kai Ming walked down the stairs of the Lei mansion.
"Sister-in-law, why don't you tell your gym instructor to dress properly? She wears such revealing clothes, what is she trying to achieve?" Yi Chunhua taunted Kai Ming.
Kai Ming retorted back, "Sister-in-law, she is a gym instructor. She has the freedom to wear whatever she wants. She can wear whatever she is comfortable with."
"You shouldn't care about your comfort," Yi Chunhua said sarcastically, "You already have a mistress wandering around you. Do you wish to build a harem for elder brother-in-law?"
Kai Ming face contorted with anger, "You better shut your mouth, sister-in-law."
Yi Chunhua rebuked back, "You double shut up, sister-in-law."
The daughters-in-law of the Lei family never left a chance to fight against each other.
Grandma Lei along with Lei Gang and Lei Zhong were standing in the grand living room of the Lei mansion. Both the brothers were called back from the office by Grandma Lei.
When the two daughters-in-law of the Lei family reached the living room fighting with each other, Grandma Lei said to both of them, "Kai Ming, Yi Chunhua, leave from here. I wish to speak to my sons in private."
Yi Chunhua and Kai Ming gazed at their mother-in-law before they left the living room.
After both of them left, Grandma Lei looked at her two sons.
"Yesterday night, a man set himself on fire in our family function. I just want to know…Do you guys have anything to do with him?" Grandma Lei asked seriously.
Lei Gang glanced at his mother before replying without any hesitation, "Of course not, mother. How can you even think like that?"
Grandma Lei looked at her younger son with questioning eyes.
Lei Zhong hesitated for a moment before he also denied his involvement in the previous night's matter.
Grandma Lei again gazed at her sons for confirming that they were speaking the truth. After seeing that none of them appeared nervous, her face blossomed with a gentle smile, "I knew that my sons would not do anything wrong."
Lei Gang and Lei Zong looked at each other before a hesitant smile appeared on their faces.

In the heart of a low-income neighborhood in the bustling capital city, the narrow, uneven streets were lined with worn-out buildings that told tales of struggle and resilience. Faded storefronts and peeling paint on the walls hinted at the challenges faced by the residents.
In the fading light of the evening, Xin Yue helped a little boy maneuver through the streets on their way home. The little boy, a handicapped child with only one functional leg, moved along with the help of Xin Yue.
Mu Haoran, the adorable 5-year-old boy, possessed a captivating charm that radiated through his appearance. His round face was framed by a tousle of jet-black hair, and his almond-shaped, expressive eyes sparkled with innocence. A button-like nose sat perfectly above a small, cheerful mouth that often curved into an infectious smile.
Mu Haoran normally relied on his crutches to move forward but he wasn't using them now. Xin Yue helped him walk with one leg slowly. However, no matter how careful she was, a stone in their path destroyed the balance of Mu Haoran.
"Haoran!" Xin Yue hurriedly caught the falling Mu Haoran in her arms.
"Are you okay?" The panicked Xin Yue checked Mu Haoran's body for any injuries.
"Sister, I am okay. Don't worry," Mu Haoran tried to calm Xin Yue down.
Xin Yue looked at Mu Haoran with a loving gaze, "Haoran, haven't I told you many times that you should walk with the help of your crutches? Then why don't you listen to me?"
Mu Haoran's little face was downcast, "Sister, you know that I don't like it when people call me cripple. This is why I don't like using crutches too."
Xin Yue's eyes glistened with tears. She did not know what she could do to help the little boy.
The little boy glanced at Xin Yue's tearful eyes before he joked, "Anyhow, the crutches don't suit my character. Right, sister?"
The little boy wanted to cheer Xin Yue up. However, this made her even sadder. She hugged the little boy for a while before wiping her tears away.
She was happy and sad at the same time on seeing the resilience of the little boy. Despite the challenges posed by his physical condition, there was an undeniable sweetness in the way he carried himself. He had to face so much at such a young age, still he managed to smile and to make her smile too.
"Who dares to call my Haoran cripple? I will break his legs!" Xin Yue exclaimed.
Mu Haoran laughed, "See, the fierce touch on Sister Yue's face is back! My sister is the bravest woman in the world."
Xin Yue then carried Mu Haoran to their house. However, just as she entered the house, Xin Yue saw a few female police officers standing in the living room.
As soon as she entered, a middle-aged woman's voice echoed in her ears, "She is Xin Yue. Quick, arrest her!"
