The next morning, Xin Yue punched in her security codes and entered the Lei mansion in a good mood. She had decided the previous day that she would not fight with Lei Junshan anymore and would try to make friends with him. Thus, she looked here and there for Lei Junshan but she couldn't find him in the living room.
'Where is he?' she mumbled to herself and searched near the living and dining room and finally found Lei Junshan in the kitchen. She found him at the counter, diligently whisking eggs in a bowl. The rhythmic motion of his hand stirred the golden yolks into a frothy mixture.
Despite the domestic setting, Lei Junshan was dressed in his usual office attire. He wore a crisp white shirt, a dark waistcoat neatly buttoned over it, and tailored trousers. A patterned scarf was wrapped snugly around his neck, a precaution against the slight cold he was suffering from.
