Lei Junshan did not budge from his decision. "I want to see the gifts, okay?" He said to Xin Yue, "Open them."
Xin Yue, her lips pressed into a thin line, set the unwrapped gifts on a nearby table. She moved briskly, her movements sharp and precise, betraying her irritation. One by one, she opened the boxes with practiced efficiency, revealing each item for the briefest of moments.
"This is a purse, these are laptop and phone covers, these are earrings, this is a necklace and this is a perfume."
However, before Lei Junshan could properly appreciate any of the items, Xin Yue closed the boxes with a swift, almost impatient motion. Her demeanor was cold, and she barely glanced at him, her mind clearly elsewhere.
"Why are you in such a hurry?" asked Lei Junshan, his brows furrowed with confusion and mild frustration.
"Because I am angry," Xin Yue roared at Lei Junshan.
