Kate has thought everything through before now, the only reason she wanted peace with Anna was so that she could go on with her plans effectively. Once she has Anna's trust fully, she can do whatever she wants.
This was the little idea she had thought about. No matter how much she didn't want to believe it, her neice is now way above her. She knows the only reason Noah is letting her off the hook is because of his wife. He would have destroyed her long ago, the same way he did with the Mongrel's.
The Mongrel's have now lost everything they work so hard for, for so many years. Noah wasn't the only one that came for them, his entire family had dealt with them from all angles for the embarrassment they gave Anna.
