After absorbing all the magic from the old witch, there was only a husk of the once beautiful woman left.
Orion, who absorbed her magic, didn't sense any particular change in his magic besides his knowledge about the Law of Matter being greatly enhanced. It's not like he was unable to use that particular law; he had, after all, learned how to use that law under Merlin as well, but he never seemed to be as good at it as he was with the Law of Space.
But now... he feels like he is almost equal. No, maybe not equal... his mastery over space is still better; however, now he can say that he really feels he has, to some degree, mastered the Law of Matter.
He only stood there for a few seconds before realizing that with all the chaos both of them had caused... those ministry idiots would sooner or later come.
Hermione, Nick, and Morgan are dead. This is going to be a political disaster, he knew it. He knew that if he ever killed Nick, this would happen; he was ready, but still, three students dying was different from just one dying.
Orion knew that this time things were going to be not so easy to handle alone. If it was only Hogwarts, then maybe it wouldn't have turned into an international issue, but Morgan was also there.
Sighing, he couldn't help but stand there, clutching his head, as the sleepiness hit him hard due to absorbing too much magic.
"Whatever, just get some sleep for the time being. Being awake might be more troublesome anyway," Orion muttered after pondering what awaited him once he went back to Hogwarts.
There was no way out of this either. After all, just like Hermione, Nick, and Morgan, he too had been gone for a long time, and if others didn't find out, then mostly Dumbledore would.
With the amount of power he used here, it's nearly impossible to hide his involvement. So it's better to finally announce who he really is and his power. This is inevitable anyway when, in just a few months, those goblins will announce his real name to the world.
His current name was not tested, and thus the magical world is still holding back from announcing him as the descendant of Merlin, but once his name comes out, that will change.
He can't do anything about it, maybe go gun blazing at those goblins, but that will inevitably cause more trouble later on. So he will just go with the flow. He quickly used his magic to bring all the dead bodies, including Hermione, Nick, and even the half-burned body of Voldemort that he hadn't completely burned, to show others that they fought with him. So at least he can later put all the blame for this fight on Voldemort.
It's actually better that others know about his true strength alongside learning his true lineage. That will stop anyone who might or might not hold any ill intentions towards him or, more importantly, people near him.
"Sigh." Orion sighed again as he made sure that his infinity remained active and just let himself fall to the ground with a thud, not injured or tired but due to the effect the absorption of magic was having on him and making him sleepy, and to avoid all the political storms coming at him, even if only temporarily.
And he was on time, as only a few seconds later, other wizards arrived along with Dumbledore.
Apparating there, they were all in awe at the sheer amount of destruction that awaited them. Nothing remained in one particular direction except a hole that stretched endlessly in one direction; even the clouds were separated in that direction, making it look like whatever or whoever did this wasn't even worried about annoying heaven.
In fact, he tore heaven into two.
Heaven and Earth were completely eradicated, making way for that one person.
"Dumbledore... here." While others were in a trance sensing the dangerous degree of powerful magical power lingering in the air, and seeing the destruction which could no longer be categorized as magic but only as an act of God.
Someone called out and brought Dumbledore's attention back to the task at hand. Soon they found out who did it.
Lying on the ground, sleeping peacefully as if he didn't even care about all of this.
From that point onward, the political conundrum which Orion was fearing finally started. Seeing the urgency of the matter, the minister and the ministry wanted to delve into Orion's memories to know what happened. Of course, Dumbledore and others who knew Orion were against it, but they didn't even have to say anything.
Let alone delve into his mind, no one was even able to touch him as infinity was acting. This was such an issue that even they couldn't send Orion to St. Mungo's or take him back to Hogwarts.
To this, even Dumbledore was helpless. Against Orion's infinity, not even the strongest and greatest white wizards of this era could do anything.
So they had to set up a tent where Orion was and wait until he naturally woke up. Many tried to break infinity, but this was one of the Major Laws they were dealing with.
Even Dumbledore's own Law of Love, which he had learned on his own, couldn't touch Orion's infinity.
All they could do for the time being was to wait...
